Check Out Hazel Alvarez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hazel Alvarez.

Hi Hazel , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been an Early Childhood Educator since 2002. In 2021, I resigned from the Department of Education and created the Nuna 5D Community, PEA. The name Nuna came to me in a dream. In various Indigenous languages, Nuna means “land” or “earth.” In Korean, it means “older sister.”

From 2021 to 2024, Nuna 5D served as a sacred community for children ages 4–10. Designed as an alternative to the conventional education system, Nuna 5D nurtured each child’s innate ability to be who they truly are—to explore what lights them up, to follow the rhythm of their inner joy, and to live in alignment with their hearts. It was a place where intuition guided learning, and children were empowered to become who they came here to be.

My love for education and devotion to the well-being of our children inspired me to create a space that truly honored and nourished them.

Today, in addition to running Nuna 5D Community, I serve children in a new way—by supporting mothers and fathers in the sacred journey of birth and parenting. When parents are nurtured, grounded, and aligned in love, their children arrive into the world held by a balanced and harmonious frequency.

This is the beginning of a transformational path for each child—one where birth is honored as the sacred, physiological, and soul-anchored event it truly is. Our ancestors understood this. They remembered the importance of honoring the body-soul connection, of embracing birth not as a medical emergency, but as a natural rite of passage.

It is my life’s purpose to support, witness, and teach through this monumental shift that we are currently in—a return to the remembrance of who we are and why we are here.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Hello no! This is the hardest thing I have done in my life. This journey has stretched me beyond capacity at times and I feel like I want to give up all the time. But I have this faith, that lives in my gut and in my heart, that takes over all the fear, exhaustion and concern, and turns it into calm, compassionate, empathic, intuitive knowing. And that is magic! And I love magic, because we are magic!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work is rooted in my book called Intuition Illuminated by Knowledge-a framework that combines embodied wisdom, physiology, developmental science, and energetic awareness into how we support birth, families, and young children.

Through my Private Education Association, Nuna 5D Community, I create environments for children that support their Septennial development. I also support Soul Guardians (also known as parents) in remembering that being a Soul Guardian is the one of the most challenging things you can do as a human. Reminding them that having a child is soul work, and that all this remembrance lives inside of them.

In addition, I also created Nuna Luz Birthkeeper. As an Independent BirthKeeper and Teacher, I hold space for women to find the fullness of their power, to learn to truly trust, connect and listen to their bodies and to give birth in a way that makes her feel seen, heard, safe and respected.

I offer the Quantum Model of Care when it comes to pregnancy and birth. This means that I prioritize Nurturing of both the mom and her partner, Soul-Level Connections with mom, recognition of Self-directed women who know what they want, Trust & Transparency, and Birth as an Altered State of Consciousness. Always knowing and acknowledging that there is a divine power that is always guiding us through the miracle of life.

I offer women true knowledge of their bodies so that they can once again recognize and remember their power to birth.
I am knowledgeable and respectful of both the physiology and the mystical aspects of birth.

I am also the mother of two beautiful young adults who have shown me so much about myself and this world.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me success is the recognition of your blueprint. Your blueprint is that first thing that comes online when you are created. It is a the zinc spark that happens at conception. Finding that, and connecting to that is success. It is success because it means that you have found your authentic self. This is what we are here to do! Reconnection to your blueprint, our planet Earth and Source/God/Universe is success.
