Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Feliciano.
Hi Heather, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hey everyone, I started my business Pynk House in 2021, it’s something I always wanted to have I feel like I manifested it long before it happened. I love fashion, makeup and hair, I really manifested everything. I’ve always been a d.i.y. girl. Always doing my own hair and makeup, and everyone else while we get ready lol I thought about what I really loved and wanted. I sat down and I started doing my research and on what exactly I wanted to represent and my target audience and I took a leap of faith!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh nooo I wish I can say it was peaches and cream. There’s a lot that goes into having your own business from making sure your paperwork is legit and up to date and also making sure your on top of everything else sales, content, networking special events. It’s all great bringing your vision to life especially the fun parts like your choosing logo and decorating your products with vendors it can feel a little overwhelming especially if you’re doing it alone and you’re a parent, going for a degree and you have a full time job, but nothing is impossible if there’s something you really want you go for it and make it work! I did a lot to get here I went to cosmetology school during the pandemic which was hard learning on zoom and also I was in college going for my degree that I have now !!! It was a lot but I wanted it and I made it happen!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I had two passions I’m an educator climbing the ladder, I have big goals I plan to accomplish! I’m most proud of my accomplishments and my business Pynk House. It represents confidence, fashion and creativity! I sell sunglasses and statement purses!! My favorite are my magnetic lashes that are really convenient, I plan to make other things flourish for PynkHouse and I’m extremely proud of the fact that I still want everything I want in life! Sometimes life gets in the way with hurdles but I believe in my dreams and I owe it to myself!
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
It’s a nice place and the community is pretty diverse with the Hispanic community, It’s not my home city, I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York. I’m a Nuyorican as they call it lol but Union City was always good to me I still have my business and things I do there and in Brooklyn. What I like most about Union City is that the people are good and supportive they always show up. I love the culture because you can find just about any kind of South American food. What I like least is that it’s far from Brooklyn my hometown. I moved to Jersey during high school.
