Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into beauty and wellness has been anything but traditional, and I truly believe every step prepared me for where I am today.
Before founding Deflor Beauty Artistry, I owned and operated a successful construction and home improvement company from 2016 to 2025. We managed multiple job sites and created beautiful, safe spaces for families. The business did well, and I’m proud of what we built. But when COVID hit, the industry shifted dramatically, and I found myself reflecting on what truly fulfilled me. While construction was financially rewarding, it wasn’t feeding my creativity or my heart.
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been drawn to the arts. I loved makeup, beauty, drawing, and singing — anything that allowed me to create and express myself. I even won awards for my artwork growing up. Deep down, I always knew my passion lived in transformation and self-expression.
Although I had been transforming houses structurally, I realized I longed to help transform people personally — emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I wanted to work directly with individuals and help them feel confident and empowered in their own skin.
That realization led me back into the beauty industry. I began working part-time in a salon, and during that time I discovered a traveling academy offering certification courses in non-invasive body contouring. I was instantly intrigued. After researching and learning more about how it works with the body’s natural metabolic and lymphatic systems, I felt a deep certainty that this was exactly where I was meant to go.
After becoming certified, I practiced extensively — on myself and family members — because I hold myself to a high standard and wanted to perfect my technique before offering services professionally.
Today, what fulfills me most is seeing the impact on my clients. When someone tells me they finally feel confident in their clothes or more comfortable in their body, it reminds me why I made this transition. Deflor Beauty Artistry is more than a beauty business to me — it’s about transformation, confidence, and helping people feel radiant in their own skin.
Looking back, every chapter — even construction — taught me discipline, leadership, and resilience. But stepping into beauty allowed me to align my business with my passion, and that’s how I got to where I am today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any entrepreneurial journey, it hasn’t been completely smooth — but every challenge has taught me something valuable.
One of the biggest struggles was finding the right location. Choosing a space is a major decision — it has to feel aligned with your brand, be comfortable and welcoming for clients, and still be financially realistic. There’s a lot of pressure in making that choice, especially when you’re building something from the ground up.
Another challenge was learning how to truly honor my business policies. By nature, I’m a very understanding and compassionate person. In the beginning, if someone canceled last minute or missed an appointment, I would often say, “It’s okay,” even though it meant lost time and income for me — and time that could have been given to another client.
Over time, I realized that being kind doesn’t mean not having boundaries. I had to grow into the confidence of enforcing my policies in a professional way. That was a turning point for me as a business owner. It taught me that structure and standards are part of serving clients at a high level.
Every challenge — from securing the right space to strengthening my boundaries — helped me step more fully into my role as a CEO. Growth doesn’t happen without a little discomfort, and I’ve embraced that process.

Deflor Beauty Artistry specializes primarily in non-invasive body contouring. While I do offer additional beauty and wellness services, my focus is helping clients achieve targeted fat reduction, skin tightening, and body sculpting in a safe, non-surgical way.
I work with advanced technologies such as ultrasonic cavitation, radio frequency, and laser lipo pads. Cavitation helps break down and liquefy fat cells, which are then naturally processed through the body’s lymphatic and metabolic systems. Radio frequency uses controlled heat to stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping tighten the skin and improve texture. These treatments allow us to contour specific areas that may be resistant to diet and exercise — all without surgery, anesthesia, or downtime.
What sets me apart is both specialization and intention. In my area, there are very few providers who focus specifically on body contouring at this level. I intentionally chose this specialty because I saw a need for results-driven, non-invasive options for clients who want enhancement without undergoing surgery.
I’m especially passionate about working with individuals who may not be candidates for invasive procedures, including those with certain health or autoimmune conditions. My approach is centered around working with the body — not against it. I combine holistic principles with modern technology to enhance the body’s natural processes.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Deflor Beauty Artistry is a minority-owned and operated business built on empowerment, integrity, and education. I don’t position my services as a “quick fix.” Instead, I see them as a supportive tool — a way to complement a healthy lifestyle and help clients feel confident in their own skin.
Ultimately, I want readers to know that my brand is about transformation without trauma. No surgery. No extreme measures. Just strategic, non-invasive treatments designed to help you feel aligned, confident, and radiant.
