Community Highlights: Meet Dr. Londyn Miller of Dr. Londyn Miller Psychotherapy, Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Londyn Miller.

Hi Dr. Londyn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a California girl. Born and raised in Southern California, I’m an only child so I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, reading, watching movies, and writing plays. People describe me as an old soul. I’ve always been curious about what motivates people and how to help people become stronger and more confident. My grandparents had a local food drive which taught me to give back and never take anything for granted. My grandma raised me to work hard and never judge a book by its cover. These things shaped my desire to become a psychotherapist and help as many people as possible.

In 2014, I began my career in schools and slowly transitioned to behavioral health organizations. I provided therapy to high-risk and low-income families and gained experience as a trauma therapist. After a difficult time in graduate school, I earned my doctorate in psychology in 2022 and became a licensed therapist. Around this time, I worked in a group practice and in 2023, founded my solo practice, Dr. Londyn Miller Psychotherapy, Inc. I noticed patterns in my clients though. Several clients were struggling with perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and identity issues, although they were successful. Today, my specialization is high-achieving and creative professionals.

After starting my practice, I fell in love with the business side of it. My goal is to merge my expertise in psychology and business and provide executive coaching, corporate consulting, and talent development to media and tech firms. Lastly, I’m completing my MBA at Columbia Business School, and I’m an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I almost didn’t finish my master’s program and I made a lot of poor decisions in graduate school. After losing my grandma in 2021, I hit rock bottom. I had to reevaluate my life. I changed my lifestyle and slowly learned how to put myself first, take care of myself, and make better choices. My life changed. I have no regrets and I can relate to a lot of the things my clients experience. I’m still a work in progress but my mistakes and suffering give me more wisdom, patience, and compassion for myself and others.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Dr. Londyn Miller Psychotherapy, Inc.?
I run a boutique private practice. I offer coaching, individual and couples therapy, and consulting. My clients typically work in finance, marketing, tech, law, business, and entertainment. I’ve been in mental health for 12 years and I am always learning and growing. I attend weekly trainings and monthly consultation. As mentioned earlier, I’m an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University. My MBA studies also give me an advantage as I help clients improve their mindset, decision-making, and communication at work. I’m most known for trauma therapy and working with high- achieving professionals who value my integrity, honesty, and expertise.

My sensitivity to what is not said sets me apart. I’m personable and gifted at making others feel safe. My commitment to continuously growing as a therapist through training and client feedback adds to the quality of my work. Helping clients strengthen their identity, become more confident, and less dependent on external validation has improved my approach and results. Clients often comment that I’m able to get to the root of things quickly and they feel more empowered through our work.

Brand wise, I’m most proud of my reputation and the quality of work I produce. Quality of care is my primary core business value. From the moment a prospective client contacts me, I provide them with a personalized experience. I pay attention to all details in my business including color, texture, images, client experience, and language. My attention is also focused on each client’s body language, tone of voice, and what I sense in our conversations. In our first introductory call, I share what I’m noticing, provide insight on it, approaches I would use to help you reach your goals, and why. I also share how these approaches have helped my clients. My approach is extremely tailored to each person.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is watching Western movies with my grandma. We loved John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Michael Landon. Cowboy movies and culture align with my values: grit, loyalty, and respect.
