Community Highlights: Meet Nicole Neff of The Neff Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Neff.

Hi Nicole, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I got into real estate because I was drawn to the idea of building something of my own while helping people through really big life moments. I got my start in the Philadelphia market. In the beginning, like most agents, I was figuring it out as I went and quickly realized that just “posting and hoping” or relying on traditional methods wasn’t going to get me where I wanted to go.

I leaned heavily into social media early on and treated it like a place to genuinely connect, not just sell. I started sharing real moments, local insight, and what it actually looks like to buy and sell in South Jersey. That consistency is what changed everything for me. It allowed me to grow a strong online community, become a recognizable local resource, and attract clients who already felt like they knew and trusted me before we ever spoke.

From there, the business really started to compound. I was able to grow my audience to over 50,000 followers, and build a brand that consistently brings in warm, aligned clients.

Now, I lead The Neff Group, where my focus is not only continuing to grow my own business but helping other agents build sustainable, relationship-driven businesses of their own. Everything I do is rooted in making real estate feel more approachable, more human, and a lot less intimidating for the people we serve.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all, and honestly I think that’s what shaped my business the most.

There were a lot of moments early on where I felt like I was doing everything and still not seeing the results I wanted. Real estate can feel very inconsistent in the beginning, and that uncertainty is tough, especially when you’re building from scratch without a big sphere or built-in pipeline.

Social media, which is now one of my biggest strengths, was also a learning curve. There were plenty of posts that went nowhere, times I questioned if it was even working, and moments where it felt uncomfortable putting myself out there so consistently. But I stayed with it and focused on connection over perfection, and that’s really when things started to click.

As my business grew, the challenges shifted. Scaling a business and building a team comes with a different kind of pressure. You’re no longer just responsible for yourself, you’re responsible for other people’s success too. Learning how to lead, create systems, and maintain a high level of service while growing quickly was something I had to figure out in real time.

I think the biggest theme is that every level comes with new challenges, but each one has pushed me to become better, more intentional, and more focused on building something that’s actually sustainable long term.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I run a South Jersey–based real estate business and lead my team, The Neff Group. We primarily help buyers and sellers throughout South Jersey, with a big focus on people relocating from Philadelphia who want more space without giving up their lifestyle.

What we’re really known for is how we show up online and how that translates into the client experience. I’ve built my business through social media by treating it as a place to connect, educate, and be a true local resource. Because of that, most of our clients come to us already feeling informed and comfortable, which completely changes the dynamic. It allows us to focus on strategy, guidance, and creating a really high-level experience instead of starting from square one.

We specialize in first-time buyers, move-up buyers and seller’s, and families who are navigating that “what’s next” phase, especially those trying to buy and sell at the same time. That’s where we’re able to bring a lot of clarity and structure to what can otherwise feel overwhelming.

What sets us apart is that everything we do is very intentional. From our marketing to our communication to the way we guide clients through decisions, nothing is surface-level. We’ve built systems behind the scenes that allow us to stay organized, responsive, and proactive, while still keeping everything feeling personal and approachable.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the community we’ve built. It’s not just an audience, it’s people who genuinely trust us, refer us, and want to work with us. That’s something I don’t take lightly. I’ve always wanted my brand to make real estate feel less intimidating and more human, and I think that’s exactly what we’ve created.

If there’s one thing I’d want readers to know, it’s that we’re not just here to help you buy or sell a home. We’re here to guide you through the entire process in a way that feels clear, supported, and aligned with your life, not just the transaction.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’m big on anything that helps me stay organized, visible, and connected, because that’s really the foundation of my business.

On the app side, Instagram has obviously been the biggest driver for me, but I treat it like a search engine and a relationship builder, not just a posting platform. Behind the scenes, I rely on my CRM to keep everything moving and make sure no one falls through the cracks, and Flodesk for email marketing so I can stay in touch with people in a more intentional way. I also use Canva constantly for creating content and resources for my clients, and Calendly to make it really easy for people to connect with me without any friction.

In terms of podcasts and books, I tend to gravitate toward anything around mindset, business growth, and building a personal brand. I love content that focuses on long-term thinking, consistency, and doing things differently rather than just following the traditional path.

Honestly, one of the biggest “resources” for me has just been paying attention to my own data and my audience. Looking at what people are responding to, what questions they’re asking, and what they need more clarity on has helped me shape my business more than anything else. That’s really where the best ideas and opportunities come from.
