Today we’d like to introduce you to Albert Casalnova.
Hi Albert, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started doing stand up comedy in 1988 at an open mic in Philadelphia my home town. My forte has always been creative writing so I got hired a few years later to write for Iconic shows like the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher. When that show was on Hiatus, I was hired by Russian comedian Yakov Smirnoff to be his head writer and until the show was cancelled that aired on TNN I lived in Branson Missouri. Another passion of mine was Real Estate and I got my real estate license in 2006 and have been a top producing agent ranked 9th out of 245 in our market center. I have trademarked “The Real Estate Comic” and have been performing for local and national real estate boards and companies for over a decade.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Stand up has always been a challenge especially during covid where no live performances were taking place and we had to learn how to do comedy over zoom to audiences and outside using the back of a pick up truck as a stage and the audience in their cars honking horns in place of applause. Conversely selling real estate during covid I had one of the most productive years in the business. I think that’s attributed to people wanting to obtain something tangible that offered shelter or tranquility.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I bring humor to the home buying experience to relieve stress during one of the largest transactions in a persons lifetime
What matters most to you?
Customer satisfaction. I think that explains it
