Daily Inspiration: Meet Jacqueline Kopito

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Kopito.

Hi Jacqueline, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey as a writer began with a desire to share my experiences and insights with my friends and family. A favorite topic of mine would be about being an identical twin. This led me to contribute to TWINS Magazine. Writing for this publication allowed me to write about twinhood while connecting with a community that shared my experiences.

As my love for writing grew, so did my desire to explore different avenues for storytelling. I then started contributing to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. These heartwarming collections of stories offered the perfect platform to share my personal tales, anecdotes, and life lessons.

My passion for writing wasn’t confined to a single genre or publication. I then began contributing to various magazines and newspapers. However, there was one subject that held a special place in my heart: being a twin. I couldn’t help but be drawn to stories about twins and twin-related topics. I then came up with the idea for my first book, Twintastic.

Two years later, I just finished my second book, Twintastic in Miami, the follow-up to my debut Twintastic, and it’s been such a joy to continue building this world for young readers. I believe stories have the power to help young readers feel seen, brave, and inspired. My journey began with my love for storytelling and being an identical twin, which continues to shape the heart, themes, and magic in everything I create.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life has knocked me down more than once, but each time I’ve learned how to rise a little stronger. I remind myself that setbacks don’t define me—they shape me. So even when things get tough, I refuse to stay down.

When I wrote my first book, my publisher who happened to be based in India informed me that I would need to take charge of promoting Twintastic in the United States. I was immediatley faced with a huge challenge. The prospect of my book being available on Amazon was exciting, but the question remained: How would potential readers ever discover it unless I took matters into my own hands?

I quickly realized I had to take action and step out of my comfort zone. With determination, I embarked on a journey to promote my work. I enthusiastically sought out every available podcast, leveraged the power of various social media platforms, and collaborated with magazines for interviews and features.

Surprisingly, as I ventured beyond my comfort zone, I discovered a sense of fulfillment that I had never experienced before. The process of self-promotion, initially a daunting prospect, turned into a rewarding adventure. It became a journey of personal growth, and the joy of connecting with readers who resonated with my story.

Today, I continue to write, promote my work, and challenge myself without fear. What once felt overwhelming now feels empowering, and I’ve learned that growth only happens when you believe in yourself and keep showing up for your story.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an author specializing in children’s and family storytelling, with a focus on twin narratives, imagination, and self-belief. I’m best known for creating the Twintastic universe—including middle-grade novels, and preschool content—that blends heart, humor, and empowerment with relatable real-world themes. I’m most proud of building stories that help kids feel seen, confident, and brave enough to believe in their own dreams.

What sets me apart is my authentic twin perspective and my ability to turn meaningful emotional experiences into engaging stories that truly connect with young audiences.

What’s next?
Looking ahead, I’m really excited about continuing to grow the Twintastic world across different ages and platforms. For tweens, I’m expanding the Twintastic book series, building on stories that celebrate confidence, creativity, standing up for yourself, and the powerful bond between twins and siblings.

At the same time, I’m focused on growing Twintastic Kids, my preschool series, which is all about big dreams, early self-belief, rhythm, and fun. I love being able to reach younger children and plant those seeds of confidence and imagination early.

Beyond that, I’m looking forward to connecting with more schools, libraries, families, and creative collaborators, and continuing to share stories that encourage kids to believe in who they are—at every age. The biggest change ahead is really expansion: more stories, more formats, and more ways to inspire young readers to dream big and trust themselves.
