Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Zamlout.
Hi Nicole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a young indie author whose largely writes in the realms of short stories and poetry. Through those smaller mediums, I tell larger stories of love, adventure, and how powerful storytelling can truly be.
I started my writing journey very young (around middle school) and was able to self publish my first book in high school. After that, I found my current publisher Read Furiously and have been happily telling stories with them ever since.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve been very fortunate that the road has largely been smooth. Authors often are left to either market their stories themselves or leave them behind if they don’t get the attention of a publishing house. For me, Read Furiously has been incredibly good to me and helped me show my stories to the world.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in telling larger stories in smaller chunks essentially. I found that my stories early on kept to a shorter format yet held so much within them, so I focused on telling what stories I could in that medium.
Through this format, I’m able to explore your classic tropes with a new lens while also creating characters and journeys that I hope everyone can enjoy.
What’s next?
I’m looking forward to the release of my next book as it is a bit of a shift for me. I’m also just excited to see what new stories come to me and what journeys I’ll take both on the page and in life.
