Daily Inspiration: Meet Tibor Kuno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tibor Kuno.

Hi Tibor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I moved from Hungary to the United States in 2020, just before the pandemic. I initially settled in the Catskills, where I found a safe place to live and worked occasionally at a local hotel. Surrounded by the landscape of upstate New York, I began exploring photography through nature and landscape images.

In 2022, I moved to New York City and joined Love Studios NYC as a part-time studio manager. Since then, I have grown into the role of General Manager, helping oversee ten production studios while working alongside photographers, designers, models, and other industry professionals.

Being immersed in this creative environment allowed me to develop my technical and creative skills, build a strong fashion portfolio, and establish myself as a New York-based fashion and beauty photographer. And now working on more exciting projects to share everything I learned to anyone who’s interested in the fashion industry/photography. Can’t tell more yet, but some fun stuff is coming soon!!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never a smooth road, but I like when life is challenging us. It’s been always up and down, I like to say that life is like a roller coaster, you go up and down, but I knew I have to be consistent with my work, and simply don’t give up. As an Immigrant it’s even harder, but that’s what I really like in New York, we can’t stop!
This is definitely the most challenging time of my life yet, but I’m grateful for everything I have accomplished so far. There’s always a place to grow!
“Art what you feel”

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m working as a studio manager and I’m a fashion editorial and beauty photographer based here in New York. I’m proud of everything I experienced in the past few years, starting with looking for people to shoot with on Facebook, going to Times Square with my camera, that time I didn’t have anything else and after a long work day, that was the only place where I could find enough available light and people to shoot with. Endless hours of work and building a portfolio and now be able to work with amazing talents, have my trusted team, clients and keep doing what I Love to do!

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’ve been in love with fashion books all the time, unfortunately I’m not into many podcasts, I’m listening to life coaching podcasts, like Mel Robins and, my partner is really into books and I’m quite interested in hearing her stories when she finishes a book, I know I should probably get into reading more which I suggest to everyone. One of my best helps currently is my girlfriend who’s pushing me and being with me at any stages and she’s always my best support.
