Today we’d like to introduce you to Dean Clark.

Hi Dean, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was on a team as a buyers agent in Coldwell Banker and then went solo at Remax, finding success as a solo agent i realized it was time to help other agents and build an infrastructure around myself and others to grow beyond just me and so i realized i wanted something bigger than myself……started with my first agent in 2020 and so on the rest is good. After helping dozens of clients find their way home, I transitioned to a solo career at Re/Max on the Hudson. But I soon realized I wanted to build something bigger than myself; I wanted to build a legacy. With the unwavering support of my wife and our growing family at home, I took the leap into leadership. What started as hiring my first buyer’s agent evolved into a thriving team with over $900mm in total sales over my career. In 2022, after interviewing every local brokerage, we moved our operations to eXp Realty; a brokerage that mirrors our commitment to innovation and growth. Today, I lead a dedicated team of 12 agents in Hoboken. Whether we are serving first-time buyers, seasoned investors, or developers, our mission remains the same: helping our clients realize their goals. This path has been demanding, but seeing our team and our clients succeed makes it the most rewarding work of my life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road, but nothing really worth it is. There have been many early mornings, exhausted evenings, tense negotiations, and hard decisions to be made along the way. Growing my family during this time was especially difficult trying to balance the building of my business and team with spending time with my girls. With baby number 4 on the way, I had to get much more focused and intentional with my time so I can be a present dad. Building this business, this legacy, is all for them at the end of the day.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a real estate team of 12 agents that services any kind of buyer, seller, landlord, and tenant. We take pride in always providing value to our clients. What sets us apart is the way we support our agents to succeed. The truth of it is, customers will always be there and I feel it’s my responsibility to make sure our agents are fully prepared for the important conversations and challenging negotiations. I am most proud of how my COO and I decided to grow this team. We didn’t want to just collect agents and play the numbers game, So many brokerages/teams hire agents and then leave them to figure it out. We knew from personal experience what it felt like to be a “body” at a brokerage and didn’t want our agents to feel that way. We have been very intentional about who we’ve chosen to be on the team because we want the environment to be supportive and collaborative. I’m also proud of the resources we provide to our agents so they can grow their businesses and best serve their clients. I truly believe if you treat your people right, they will extend that to their clients. I want your readers to know that while we are in this business to make money it’s equally as important that our clients feel truly supported throughout the very overwhelming process of buying or selling. If we can alleviate even just a little of their stress, that’s what we pride ourselves on.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Our business is primarily in Jersey City and Hoboken but we service all of Hudson County and the lower part of Bergen County. Collectively, our team has over 50 years of real estate experience and that matters when you’re choosing an agent/team to help you realize your real estate goals. We have cultivated a network of trusted and capable attorneys, inspectors, lenders, movers, and handymen to guide our clients throughout.
