Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Ellis.
Hi Erica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started For The Girls Who Vibe ( FTGWV ) an intimate NJ wellness and social club for women in March 2025 as it has always been an idea and dream of mine to create my own space and community for women to celebrate themselves.
I became a mother during covid May 2020 and after my son was about 1 years old the idea came around July 2021 but I obviously didn’t pursue anything until 4 years later . I was so in my head about how to start , how much money I will need, and what resources I needed. So instead of being all in my head , I said ” just do it ” and figure it out along the way.
It all started as an idea and dream that is now my reality .
Today , I curated intimate events for over 300+ women throughout North, Central, and South Jersey from everything between themed game nights, yoga , pilates, picnics, social mixers, paint and sips, sunset walks , craft nights, and so much more !
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all but I enjoy the bumps . It’s not going to be easy at all. March 2027 will be 2 years in business and I’ve learned so much already and I have so much more to learn. It comes with event planning and curating .
I enjoy what I do and the space I am creating so if I am going through any struggles ; I reach out to other small business friends and get some advice on what I should do better, how can I get this or that done, or I try to find resources to help guide me in the right direction.
To be honest , my biggest struggle is social media . Everything is on social media and you have to put yourself out there so people can relate to you , see what you are doing, and be apart of your events. If I am not online , people will not know about my social club.
I am still trying to figure out the ins and outs of social media and how to navigate it surprisingly.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
For The Girls Who Vibe is a NJ based wellness and social club for women who are looking to try new things, network, and celebrate themselves .
What you should know about us is that we are all about community and building sisterhood, connection, and just being yourself. When you come to an event or social mixer, we want you to just be and live in the moment because this is all about you and doing something for you.
What sets For The Girls Who Vibe apart from other social clubs is that we focus on intimate groups of 25 women or less . We feel like with smaller groups you can get to know each other more , mingle, and connect. We also have unique themes and experiences that no one else is doing. We create fun vibes and things you wouldn’t normally see.
I want you to know that For The Girls Who Vibe is all about you . So if you want to get out to try new things, meet your tribe, and connect with like-minded women we are here for you ! Come check us out !
Who else deserves credit in your story?
The ones who deserve some credit are the small businesses that helped me along the way and who’ve believed in me from the start.
My mentors and supporters in business are Quiahna Barber from Qrafty-Q Customs and Erika Wright-Rich from Myx Lokal.
They helped me with things from business advice and guiding me along this journey through their time and support.
