My journey hasn’t been linear, it’s been a little rock and roll!
I’ve been a licensed esthetician for over 13 years, and skincare was my first love. I started in the treatment room, then pivoted into emergency medicine as an EMT and later Occupational Health and Safety, working in high-pressure environments focused on protecting and saving lives. Through it all, I kept my esthetics skills sharp, because for me, skincare has always been about healing.
Everything shifted when I had to perform life-saving measures on my own daughter during a seizure. That moment redefined what care really means: survival is just the beginning, healing is the work.
So I came back to my roots, louder. I created VAYN Aesthetics—an edgy, music-driven skincare experience designed to help people reset, reconnect, and feel something real.
As a pageant competitor, I’ve also been able to amplify that message in my community, showing that self-care isn’t vanity. it’s power.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
I’ve navigated career pivots, motherhood, and building a business from the ground up, all while working in high-pressure environments. There were moments of burnout, self-doubt, and learning how to bet on myself.
At the same time, I’ve held myself to a high standard, creating highly personalized experiences at VAYN that deliver real, visible results and make clients feel truly seen, which has sharpened my purpose and made what I’m building that much more meaningful.
