Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
-I was born with chronic asthma that almost killed me several times as a child. One episode landed me in the hospital under an oxygen tent for 5 days.
-my parents divorced when I was six years old and remarried each other when I was eight years old.
-the only way I could go to college at age 18 was with a guaranteed student loan. I also had a guaranteed minimum wage job on campus, but also worked a second off campus job while in college full-time. I had to pay off student loan debt when I graduated.
-after 28 years of marriage, I am now divorced due to my now ex-husband‘s midlife crisis
-$250,000 of alimony was lost
