Today we’d like to introduce you to Nayyer Abbas Sayed.
Hi Nayyer Abbas, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a bollywood celebrity hairdresser. I have a salon back home where we have a lot of celebrities coming. I have traveled around the world for bollywood movie shoots and have migrated here 4 years back to expand. I have collaborated with pink’s hair & beauty studio wth my bollywood brand A’zquare which a well known brand in Mumbai. I have styled many film stars back in Mumbai and around the world. I have styled bollywood stars in New York as well. When Indian cricket team to New York for world cup, I styled their hair over here as well.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Initially it was a bit difficult as hairdressing was considered as a very low category job in India. There was no proper school for professional training and I have no money to travel abroad. So, I have to do odd jobs to save money to travel to London for professional training.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I just collaborated with pink’s Kai & beauty studio and hoping to start an academy.my goal is to make my brand internationally recognized.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Started playing with friends as a barber which converted into my profession and having my friend as my client still is a very special feeling.
