Today we’d like to introduce you to Babita Spinelli.
Hi Babita, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Looking back, my career has been defined by the courage to reinvent myself. I started in law and then built a successful career on Wall Street, but despite the external success, I found myself increasingly drawn to understanding people rather than transactions. I was fascinated by what motivates us, how relationships shape our lives, and why so many accomplished individuals still struggled with stress, self-doubt, and disconnection.
That curiosity became my calling. I made the decision to leave corporate America and pursue psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, dedicating my career to helping people heal, grow, and create healthier relationships. As I worked with executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders, I realized that the challenges they faced extended beyond mental health—they were navigating leadership, identity, burnout, and the pressure to succeed.
That insight led me to create the Babita Spinelli Group, where I bridge psychology with leadership and executive coaching. Today, I have the privilege of working with leaders and organizations around the world, speaking on global stages, and helping people build lives and careers that are not only successful, but deeply meaningful.
My journey has taught me that the most powerful transformations begin when we’re willing to embrace change. Every chapter—from law to Wall Street to psychotherapy, entrepreneurship, and global speaking—has reinforced one belief: our greatest strength lies not in avoiding change, but in having the courage to evolve.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every major career move meant starting over—from leaving law for Wall Street, then stepping away from a successful corporate career to become a psychoanalyst, and later building my own company from the ground up. Those transitions required taking risks without any guarantee of success.
Building a business brought its own challenges. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced the pressure of wearing many hats. There were moments early on when I questioned my path, but I learned that growth rarely happens in comfort.
Perhaps the greatest challenge has been learning that success isn’t about achieving more—it’s about becoming more. I’ve had to develop resilience, set healthier boundaries, and redefine what fulfillment truly means. Those lessons have made me a stronger leader, a better clinician and coach, and a more compassionate person.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the difficult moments. They taught me adaptability, perseverance, and the importance of staying connected to my purpose. Every obstacle became part of the foundation for the work I do today—helping others navigate change with confidence and resilience.

What sets you apart?
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge the worlds of psychology and business. My background in law, Wall Street, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and executive coaching allows me to understand both the human dynamics and business realities that shape effective leadership. Rather than focusing solely on performance, I help clients build the self-awareness, resilience, and emotional intelligence needed to create meaningful, lasting success.
How would you describe your brand?
My brand is built on authenticity, credibility, and transformation. Everything I do centers on helping people lead with confidence, emotional intelligence, and purpose. Whether I’m coaching an executive, consulting with an organization, or speaking on an international stage, my goal is the same: to make mental wellness and exceptional leadership accessible, practical, and impactful. I want people to know that true success isn’t measured solely by achievement—it’s measured by the quality of our leadership, our relationships, and the lives we influence.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending time with my family around the dinner table. It wasn’t about anything extravagant—it was the conversations, the laughter, and the sense of belonging that stayed with me. Those moments taught me the importance of connection, something that continues to influence both my personal life and my work today.
