Inspiring Conversations with Briana Germano of The Aesthetic Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Germano.

Hi Briana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Right out of high school, I worked as an office assistant filing charts and helping with faxes. I went on to
“move up” in the office as a medical assistant. Then, before I knew it, I was managing the office.

I worked for 10 years managing medical practices in Monmouth County, specifically Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Then, when I had my first daughter in 2017, I realized getting phone calls at all hours of the day and night would not be so flexible with being a new mom. This is when I decided, I wanted to become a Registered Nurse. While in nursing school, I worked as a Certified Medical Assistant for a plastic surgery practice.

After graduating nursing school, I moved on to becoming a surgical nurse for the practice and shortly thereafter became an Aesthetic Injector. With changes with staff, I earned the opportunity of becoming the main injector for this practice. Within this time I had twin boys and slowly continued my training.

A few years later, I was given an opportunity to open a wellness space for a new franchise in New Jersey which was my first time in the wellness space along with aesthetics. I learned about supplementation, BHRT, IV therapy and peptides.

After missing the aesthetics industry, I moved on to work for another very reputable Plastic Surgeon in Monmouth County as an exclusive injector.

After a year back in the industry, I realized having a background in administration, along with being an Aesthetic Injector, and a loyal clientele, I wanted more for my patients.

My husband is a builder and owns his own contracting company. This is when the two of us researched how we could build our own exclusive, private med spa.

Within 6 months of planning, I became one of the first registered nurses in New Jersey to collaborate with a physician. The Aesthetic Bar was born. After a year of getting acclimated in our Matawan location, perfecting the practice and having my fourth baby, I decided to move the practice from Matawan to Red Bank. My husband was able to build out a beautiful, airy, chic space for our new location and Red Bank has welcomed The Aesthetic Bar with open arms,

We now have a beautiful private space with an aesthetician and an administrator on staff.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been an interesting ride and we are still in the infant stages of business. However, learning from our mistakes, making different financial decisions and having great communication with pharmaceutical partners has been super successful.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Aesthetic Bar is a private, boutique med spa. As an Aesthetic Injector, I specialize in neurotoxins, also known as Botox, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation, and anti-aging services.

What sets us apart from most is we are a solo practitioner office. We are not a corporate model.

You will have an exclusive experience from start to finish. With a full face assessment and treatment – along with a no pressure rapport with your Provider. After treatment, you will have access to our patient concierge line 24/7 for any questions or concerns. This is vital for nervous patients starting out in aesthetic treatments.

What also sets us apart is all team members have a passion for this industry. We are constantly learning and continuing our education with the ever-evolving aesthetic world. With my administrative background, I am very passionate about customer service and my patients having a quality experience that is all about them. We see one patient at a time to ensure the patient has our complete attention.

What are your plans for the future?
In the future, we would love to open a “the body bar” to offer laser hair removal, lymphatic drainage massages and different body modalities, We also hope to open a second location in time while still continuing the private, small business vibe.
