Hi Christine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do. I spent 15 years working as a commercial photographer, and in my free time, I’ve always been drawn to hands-on creative projects, whether that’s tackling DIYs, doing crafts, or baking for the people I love. I’ve always cherished the magic of the holiday season and how thoughtful, atmospheric details can completely transform a space and make people feel welcome.
When my twins were born three and a half years ago, my whole perspective shifted. Watching the world through their eyes deepened my appreciation for family traditions and the pure joy that holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving bring.
That inspiration sparked a conversation with my mom. We realized how much busy families want to create those enchanting, magical moments for their kids, but often just don’t have the time or energy to pull it off amidst the hustle of everyday life. So, we decided to combine our passions and launch The Autumn Charm Company. Together, as a mother-daughter team, we get to bring cozy, unforgettable fall displays to life, helping other families build lasting traditions and celebrate the season without any of the stress.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not! It has been a lot of fun, but smooth isn’t the word I’d use.
For starters, my mom and I both work full-time day jobs, so launching this business meant burning the candle at both ends. It really was a labor of love, packed with long nights and weekend hustle to get everything off the ground.
Then came the steep learning curve of seasonal logistics! Figuring out how to source, transport, and store thousands of pounds of perishable pumpkins at once is a wild puzzle. Plus, learning to maneuver and park a heavy delivery trailer was completely mind-scrambling at first.
Every new endeavor comes with a learning curve, but figuring out those bumps together and seeing how happy the finished displays make our clients makes every late night completely worth it.
We’ve been impressed with The Autumn Charm Company, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At The Autumn Charm Company, my mom and I get to do what we love most: bringing the magic of fall straight to your doorstep. Based right here in North/Central New Jersey, we deliver and custom-style gorgeous pumpkin displays for front steps, walkways, porches, and backyards, making it easy for homes and local businesses to celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving in style.
We specialize in taking outdoor spaces and turning them into cozy, festive autumn wonderlands. What sets us apart is blending real artful design with ultimate convenience. With my background in commercial photography and visual design, I look at every setup through a creative lens—focusing on color, texture, balance, and scale so your display looks like a cohesive, head-turning piece of seasonal art, not just a pile of pumpkins on a step. And because we’re a mother-daughter team, every single project gets our personal touch and genuine care.
As a brand, we’re most proud of taking all the hassle out of fall decorating. Everyone loves the look of a styled porch, but hunting down heavy pumpkins, hauling them home, arranging them, and dealing with the messy cleanup later is a lot of work! We handle every step—hand-picking a variety of beautiful local pumpkins, setting up the entire display, and coming back to haul it all away when the season ends. That way, you just get to relax, enjoy the cozy vibes, and make memories with your family and guests.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’m not sure I really believe in ‘luck’ in the traditional sense, at least not as a force that dictates outcomes. What I do believe is that life is a mix of good and challenging circumstances that often exist side by side, many of which we have limited control over.
For example, I’m deeply grateful to have a loving family and a career I’m proud of, but that reality sits right alongside having Multiple Sclerosis, even though I’m fortunate to have been relapse-free for over five years now. The good and the hard exist together.
Where control actually comes into play is in how you navigate those realities. For me, it’s about pouring my energy into what I love and can influence. Doing my best work with intention and dedication, while staying flexible enough to pivot when something isn’t working. Life and business aren’t about waiting for good luck; they’re about how you adapt, adapt again, and keep moving forward through whatever comes your way.
