Inspiring Conversations with Sebastien Gehin of NJ Scatman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastien Gehin.

Hi Sebastien, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
my name is Sebastien Gehin and I started Nj Scatman one year ago. I always wanted to create a business just never knew what and I found myself working for a company scooping dog poop and had the idea why don’t I start my own dog waste removal business. I have always had dogs growing up and have always loved pets so it was a good way to combine something I enjoy and learning how to operate a business something I have always wanted to do

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
growing and gaining a customer base has been hard. Always trying different types of advertising and learning all of that has been a challenge as well as growing a social media Prescence.

We’ve been impressed with NJ Scatman, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As you may know picking up dog poop can be an unpleasant, smelly, time consuming chore and it’s easy to let it go when there is so much going on in life. Not to mention pet waste attracts flies, rodents, and all kinds of bugs, It also carries harmful bacteria like E. coli and parasites that can make humans and other pets sick. Here is where Nj Scatman comes in we offer weekly, bi-weekly, twice a week, and one time waste removal services. We can take the waste with us or safely dispose of it in the property owners trash cans. We also offer pet safe deodorize/sanitize service for the yard which only takes about 20 minutes for a standard 1/8 acre yard this kills harmful bacteria and leaves a pleasant scent. I pride myself on offering affordable pricing, building honest relationships with my customers, and wanting to help my local pet community

What were you like growing up?
I was born and raised in Marlton Nj. Growing up I did a lot of skateboarding and biking with friends. Once I was old enough to drive I started working on cars and that became and still is a big hobby of mine.
