Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Sharma.
Hi shannon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my professional journey with a strong background in Health and Science, which gave me a foundation in supporting people’s wellbeing in practical and meaningful ways. In 2020, I found myself at a crossroads and—quite honestly—needed a change. After all, even the most dedicated professional benefits from taking a deliberate step back to reset.
Rather than viewing that time as an interruption, I treated it as an opportunity to explore a new direction. I transitioned into education, and that decision became more impactful than I originally anticipated. What began as a career “try” evolved into a long-term commitment, and today I can confidently say I have spent six years building experience, developing skills, and learning how to create supportive, growth-focused environments.
As I continued in this path, I also pursued further training to deepen my expertise. I am now a certified holistic autism coach, which reflects my commitment to supporting individuals and families through a more holistic and person-centered approach—one that considers both behavioral needs and overall wellbeing.
At present, I am running my own small practice. This has been an important milestone for me, not only professionally but personally as well, because it allows me to combine my education experience with my coaching qualifications to deliver meaningful support in a way that feels both structured and compassionate. In short, my journey has been shaped by curiosity, continuous learning, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
If I’m being honest, it wasn’t smooth like glass—it was more like… learning to drive on a new road. There were moments of uncertainty and adjustment when I moved into education and later trained as a holistic autism coach. I learned quickly, sought support when needed, and kept moving forward. But the process was worth while . The good part is that I didn’t just “start over”—I brought valuable experience with me. Over time, those challenges became growth opportunities, and now I feel confident in the direction I’ve taken. I kept learning, improving, and building confidence until the transition became a true career foundation.
As you know, we’re big fans of ThinkAutWise LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
What I’m most known for is combining two things that don’t always meet in traditional services: holistic approach and autism-specific coaching. Many approaches focus only on one side—behavior alone, or academic alone. My specialization is bringing those together so clients feel supported in the way they actually live, not just in theory.
My approach is person-centered and individualized. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching. I take time to understand the client’s needs, strengths, triggers, and goals, then develop a plan that makes sense for them—supported by my education experience and my holistic coaching training.
In short, I’m not just delivering advice—I’m helping clients build confidence, clarity, and sustainable tools.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the consistency and credibility of my practice. I’ve built my business around trust, empathy, and real progress. I’m also proud that I created a space where clients feel heard and supported, not judged or rushed.
I want readers to know that my brand is about more than coaching—it’s about empowerment. I want people to feel that support is available, personalized, and compassionate. Whether someone is just beginning their journey or looking for a new approach, I want them to know they’re not alone—and they don’t have to navigate autism support without holistic, practical guidance.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I believe is most important to my success is genuine consistency paired with compassion. In my work—especially in autism coaching—people don’t just need information; they need to feel understood, supported, and confident that progress is possible.
Consistency matters because real change takes time, structure, and follow-through. Compassion matters because everyone’s journey is different, and the right support is the kind that meets clients where they are—without judgment.
If I had to sum it up: I’m successful because I don’t just aim for outcomes. I focus on building a trusting, steady process that helps clients and families feel empowered along the way.
