Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracey Zhang.
Hi Tracey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I left home at 16 and went on to live in six cities across the world. Most of those moves were unplanned, shaped by circumstances rather than certainty. For a long time, my life felt like a search—for belonging, for stability, for a place that would finally feel like home.
That search eventually became an inner one. Through emotional healing, spiritual inquiry, parts work, and somatic practices, I began to understand that the sense of home I was looking for wasn’t tied to a place. It was something I needed to build within myself. As I did that inner work, my external world began to feel more grounded, supportive, and aligned.
Today, I support others—especially those navigating relocation and major life transitions—to build that same inner home, so they can move through life with greater self-trust, emotional freedom, and a deep sense of belonging wherever they are.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. The road was messy, uncertain, and often lonely. Constantly moving meant repeatedly starting over—new places, new relationships, new identities. I struggled with loneliness, grief, and a deep sense of not fully belonging anywhere. There were long periods of self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and a feeling that something was missing, even when life looked “fine” on the surface.
What made it harder was that I didn’t yet have the tools to understand what was happening inside me. I learned to adapt, suppress emotions, and keep going, rather than feeling and integrating what I was experiencing. Those struggles eventually became the doorway to deeper emotional healing and spiritual growth—and they’re the reason I do the work I do today, helping others navigate change without losing themselves.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work centers on helping people build a sense of home within themselves—especially those who have lived in many places, gone through major transitions, or spent years adapting to survive rather than feeling truly grounded. I specialize in parts work and somatic healing, supporting people to understand their emotional patterns, reconnect with their bodies, and rebuild self-trust from the inside out.
I’m known for bridging emotional depth with grounded, practical tools. Rather than focusing on fixing or pushing for change, my work helps people slow down, listen inwardly, and meet the parts of themselves that have been holding everything together. This often brings a sense of belonging, clarity, and ease that naturally reshapes how they relate to their lives and surroundings.
What I’m most proud of is creating spaces where people feel deeply seen and safe enough to come home to themselves—often for the first time. What sets my work apart is that it’s not about becoming someone new; it’s about remembering who you are beneath adaptation, conditioning, and survival, and learning how to live from that place.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
During some of the darkest moments of my life, I met a few of my closest friends through a spiritual meetup. At a time when I felt lost and disconnected, they saw me and accepted me exactly as I was—without needing me to perform, explain, or be “figured out.” They held a vision for who I was becoming even when I couldn’t see it myself, and reminded me of my heart and my essence when I had forgotten.
I’ve also been deeply shaped by teachers and mentors in the somatic and healing spaces who helped me trust my inner experience, slow down, and listen to my body. And just as importantly, my clients continue to teach me every day—by showing what becomes possible when people are met with safety, presence, and compassion. None of this work exists in isolation; it’s been co-created through community, reflection, and relationships that are rooted in authenticity and care.
