Meet Andy Morales of Bayonne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Morales.

Andy , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
While poetry has always been my lifelong passion, my journey as a content creator truly began on Instagram in 2018, following the passing of my father. With my wife’s encouragement, I launched a podcast during the 2020 pandemic, which served as a springboard for expanding my creative reach. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of hosting both virtual and in-person open mics in Bayonne, New Jersey, building a deep connection with a supportive local community. Currently, I am on a hiatus to focus on mental health and recalibration, ensuring I return to my craft with renewed clarity and purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing is ever perfect, and I’ve realized it isn’t meant to be. I struggle with self-doubt sometimes, wondering if anyone truly cares about the work I put in. Even after facing situations that threatened my reputation, I learned that the people who matter never left my side. I’ll always choose to chase the truth, because in the end, that’s what lasts.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a writer and the founder of Unraveled Influence, a platform I started to keep my late father’s creative spirit alive. I specialize in giving artists—especially poets and musicians—a real place to share their stories through my podcast and live interviews. I’m known for keeping things raw and organic; instead of just posting a poem, I sit down with people to talk about real life, from mental health to finding forgiveness. What sets me apart is that I don’t care about competing with others; I care about building a community where we all grow together. I’m most proud of the fact that I didn’t give up, even when things got tough and I had to rebrand my vision three times. My goal is simple: stand out, stay authentic, and always chase the truth, because the truth is the only thing that lasts.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to never compromise yourself. Always Maintain your self respect. People will try to convince you otherwise because your glow is intimidating to them.
