Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianne Valentino.
Hi Brianne , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
From a young age I was drawn to the arts. My first love was photography, I was gifted a polaroid camera from my aunt for my birthday the one year. From there my love of photography grew. I ended up majoring in it in college. I received the area award for my senior thesis at Montclair State University. In 2019, my world was turned upside down, both my grandma and aunt were diagnosed with cancer. I needed another outlet besides photography. From there I created an entire 3D series of paintings. I loved this medium, I further invested into a color theory course. From that point on I knew this is what I am meant to do with my life. Currently I am in galleries across the U.S. and have created several murals in residential spaces. I also collaborated with Chick-Fil-A in Paramus Park Mall. I won RAM Gallery’s mural contest and have a mural installed into their entryway.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path my life has taken me on currently has been a lot smoother compared to when I was doing photography. Some of the challenges I have is when you quote clients and then they ghost you.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in creating vibrant abstract murals and fine art. I won RAM Gallery’s mural contest, that was a proud moment. I am proud that I was accepted into Art Comes Alive 2025 in Cincinnati Ohio, only the top 10% of artists are accepted worldwide. My fine art work is very different because the work is more tactile. I love to create work that adds happiness and joy into the world. I want to spread joy with art, What sets me apart from others is my ability to create layered works in a way that the colors compliment each other.
How do you think about happiness?
Creating new artwork makes me happy because I get to let go and let the brush take over and create something beautiful. Travel also makes me happy, as an artist traveling is the one thing I try to do every year. It has inspired my art practice a lot so now I am actively working on a travel series this year.
