Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Denti.
Hi Kelly , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before opening Nex Level Ninja, I spent many years in the banking and finance industry. After experiencing a major business setback in 2015, I knew I wanted to build something that would make a real impact. When I discovered the sport of ninja through*while watching the TV show American Ninja Warrior, I immediately saw its potential to build confidence, strength, and resilience in people of all ages.
I took a leap of faith, built our first ninja course, and never looked back. What started as a small idea has grown into one of the area’s premier ninja training facilities, helping athletes of all skill levels challenge themselves, overcome obstacles, and achieve goals they never thought possible. Seeing the confidence and determination our athletes gain is what continues to inspire me every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. Like any small business, we’ve faced our share of challenges. From building the business from the ground up and introducing a relatively new sport to the community, to navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been plenty of obstacles along the way. Every challenge forced us to adapt, think creatively, and become stronger as a business. Looking back, those difficult moments helped shape who we are today and made our successes even more rewarding.
We’ve been impressed with Nex Level Ninja, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nex Level Ninja is more than just a ninja gym—it’s a place where kids and adults build confidence, resilience, and strength through obstacle course training. We offer recreational classes, competitive team training, open gyms, camps, birthday parties, and special events for all skill levels.
What sets us apart is our commitment to every athlete who walks through our doors. Whether someone is trying ninja for the first time or competing at a national level, they’re part of our community. Our coaches focus on building confidence just as much as athletic ability, creating an environment where athletes are encouraged to challenge themselves, support one another, and celebrate every success.
The thing we’re most proud of is the culture we’ve built. Our athletes don’t just leave stronger physically—they leave believing in themselves. Watching someone accomplish an obstacle they once thought was impossible is what makes everything we do worthwhile, and that’s what we hope people think of when they hear the name Nex Level Ninja.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe success comes down to luck—I believe it comes down to how you respond when luck, good or bad, finds you. I’ve certainly had my share of setbacks, and there were times when things didn’t go as planned. But every challenge became an opportunity to learn, adapt, and come back stronger. On the other hand, I’ve also been fortunate to have found incredible business partners, athletes, families, coaches, and a supportive community who believed in our vision. In the end, I think hard work, perseverance, and surrounding yourself with great people create what many call “luck.”
