I’m a entrepreneur, professional stylist, and proud mom of four beautiful girls. My journey in the beauty industry began over 15 years ago with a passion for helping people feel confident and beautiful. I earned my cosmetology degree from Empire Beauty School in 2012, and from that moment on I knew my dream was to one day open my own salon.
Balancing motherhood and my career, I continued to grow my skills, build my clientele, and shape a vision for a space that offered more than just hair services. That vision became The Hair & Beauty Lounge—a full-service salon where clients can enjoy everything from luxurious blowouts and vibrant color to makeup, threading, waxing, facials, organic spray tans, lash services, teeth whitening, and more, all under one roof.
As a Pakistani-American woman in business, opening my salon was not just about beauty—it was about creating a welcoming space for my community and showing my daughters the power of hard work, passion, and perseverance. Today, I’m proud to lead one of Bergen County’s top salons built on expertise, inclusivity, and the goal of helping every client leave feeling their absolute best.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most entrepreneurs, the journey hasn’t always been a smooth road. Building a business while raising a family came with its challenges, and the beauty industry itself has changed a lot over the years. With the rise of at-home beauty products and DIY trends, salons have had to work harder to show the value of professional services.
For me, the focus has always been on offering an experience and level of expertise that simply can’t be replicated at home. From professional techniques and high-quality products to personalized consultations and a full range of services under one roof, our goal is to give clients results, care, and confidence that go beyond what they can achieve on their own. That commitment to quality and service is what continues to keep clients coming back.

Being able to create that feeling for people has always been the driving force behind my work.
At the same time, as a mother of four daughters, setting a strong example for them means everything to me. I want them to see firsthand what hard work, passion, and determination can build. Showing them that they can pursue their dreams, create opportunities for themselves, and make a positive impact on others is something I’m deeply proud of. For me, my career has always been about more than beauty—it’s about confidence, empowerment, and building a legacy my daughters can look up to.
