Rising Stars: Meet Colleen Meacock of New Jersey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Colleen Meacock.

Hi Colleen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My path as an author, co-founder of the Live Like Meacs Foundation, and medium began following the passing of my son, Henry, “Meacs,” at age 19, when I heard him say, “Gimmi, it was my time.”

I don’t know if I could have faced life without knowing he was still with me, that we were still connected, and that the bond of love between us was still there.

We are now working together, me from this side and him from the Other Side. He is at home in Heaven while I continue my journey here. With Henry’s guidance, I am learning to heal myself and to live again.

We are sharing this healing journey with others so they, too, may find a path forward.

We are doing this through our Heavenly Affirmations Card Deck, our Meacs & Me Monthly Messages, the Live Like Meacs Foundation, the book I am writing, and by offering mediumship readings to help others connect with their loved ones in Spirit.

My husband, Will, my daughter, Ellie, and I established the Live Like Meacs Foundation in 2024. It is a charitable organization created to honor Henry “Meacs” and provides scholarships to help high school students attend college.

The Heavenly Affirmations Card Deck were written by Henry and me. There are 33 cards, each featuring a channeled message from Henry. They were beautifully illustrated by my friend Heather Stillufsen, founder of RoseHill Design Studio. They can be purchased on Etsy, proceeds go to our foundation.

We understand what others are experiencing as they move through loss. We hope our cards and monthly messages, which are emailed to subscribers of our website at livelikemeacs.com, offer connection, love, hope, and healing insights.

The book I am writing is a guide through grief. When my son Henry passed, I thought I had lost the part of me that made me whole. In time, I discovered that his leaving shone a light on the places within me that needed healing, and that I was whole all along. Guided by Henry in Spirit, I am sharing his messages and the tools that continue to support me on my journey, offering comfort and inspiration to anyone learning to live through loss.

I know how deeply meaningful connecting with Henry is for me. With Henry’s guidance, I am now offering mediumship readings to help others connect with their loved ones in Spirit. I have been blessed to have an amazing mentor in Kathy Taylor, founder of Hello From Above. She is a gifted psychic medium and has taught me so much. Her love and support have been a shining light on my journey.

I truly love giving readings, connecting loved ones, and witnessing the love between them. The unending support, hope, and deep love that flow from Spirit are profound, and I feel incredibly grateful to serve as a bridge for that experience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To be honest, just getting up in the morning and facing the day without my son Henry is challenging. I try to start each day by taking slow, deep breaths. I focus on releasing any tension in my body and reciting affirmations. Most days, they are “I am okay,” “Henry is still with me,” and “I am brave.”

I have struggled the most with some of my belief systems: “I am not enough,” “Our loved ones are gone when they pass, until we meet again in Heaven,” “We cannot connect with our loved ones in Spirit,” and “I am not whole since my son passed.”

My son Henry is now my guide, and he has taught me so much. I can hear him clairaudiently, and I receive messages from him while journaling, a practice sometimes known as automatic writing. He has also led me to hundreds of books, spiritual classes, and mentors that have helped me understand that there is more to life than what we can perceive with our five senses.

I have learned that life is eternal, our bond of love is eternal, we are souls having a human experience, our lives are soul-planned, and our loved ones in Heaven are always with us. We are not alone. I am whole. I am enough.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a mother of two, born and raised in the United States. At 28, I moved to London, England, where I spent ten years building a life, marrying a wonderful Englishman, and welcoming my beautiful children.

Professionally, I worked in the reinsurance industry in both broking and IT, eventually serving as a vice president in sales. At 38, I retired and returned to the US to become a stay-at-home mom, a calling that truly fulfilled my soul’s longing.

Then, at age 55, my world changed forever with the inconceivable loss of my 19-year-old son. That loss became the catalyst for my journey through grief, and ultimately, my spiritual awakening, guided by my son Henry.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I would not consider myself a risk-taker. However, my spiritual path has taken me far outside my comfort zone at times. I take a risk every time I share my heart and soul through the Meacs & Me Monthly Messages and the book I am writing. I never know how others will receive my words or whether I will be judged, but I truly believe this is my path, and those who are meant to receive my messages will.

I have also taken a risk by openly sharing my belief that our loved ones are still with us in Spirit and that I can connect with them. By offering mediumship readings, I open myself up to skepticism and further judgment.

Although this journey has made me uncomfortable at times, I continue to follow my heart, trust in Henry’s guidance, and believe that I am doing what I am meant to do.
