Rising Stars: Meet Tiara Bryant of New Brunswick

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiara Bryant.

Hi Tiara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Coming from a healthcare background, my entrepreneurial journey began as an independent mobile notary. That work introduced me to the legal side of life’s biggest moments, and through it, I learned about wedding officiating. What started as a practical service quickly became something much deeper.

Everything shifted after my first ceremony on February 22, 2022. Standing in front of a couple and witnessing the emotional impact of that moment was transformative. I realized that officiating wasn’t just about signing paperwork—it was about presence, legacy, and responsibility. As I officiated more weddings, I noticed a major gap in the industry. Ceremonies were often treated as a formality instead of the emotional anchor of the wedding day. I knew there was room for something more intentional—ceremonies that were full of heart, humor, and soulful storytelling.

Royal Treatment with Tiara is where I focus on high-touch, story-driven ceremonies and a concierge-level experience. Over time, this approach allowed me to build a reputation rooted in professionalism, presence, and trust—leading to consistent referrals, five-star reviews, and couples who value the ceremony as much as the celebration.

As the business grew, so did my responsibility to the craft. That’s what inspired me to co-found the Wedding Officiant Academy—a professional education and community platform designed to elevate officiants at every stage and raise the standard across the industry. Today, I’m proud to serve couples across New Jersey and beyond while also mentoring the next generation of officiants. Everything I build—whether for couples or professionals—is centered on confidence, clarity, and the belief that when the ceremony is done right, it becomes the moment everyone remembers.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. Like most entrepreneurial journeys, the road has been layered with learning curves, pivots, and moments that tested both my confidence and clarity.

One of the biggest challenges was carving out legitimacy in a space that’s often misunderstood. Wedding officiating is sometimes viewed as “easy” or “quick”, when in reality it requires legal knowledge, emotional intelligence, storytelling ability, public speaking skills, and strong collaboration with planners, venues, and vendors. Early on, I had to advocate for the value of my work while still building visibility and trust.

There were also personal challenges—navigating entrepreneurship while managing life transitions and the pressure to “figure it out” in real time. What carried me through was a commitment to doing the work well, staying rooted in service, and allowing the business to evolve as I did. Those challenges ultimately shaped the foundation of my brand.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At its core, my work is about transforming the wedding ceremony from a formality into a core memory. I’m a modern wedding officiant, and I specialize in creating ceremonies worth capturing and moments guests are still talking about long after the wedding day ends.

I’m known for leading love stories with vibrant authenticity. With my mic-ready delivery, the ceremony becomes the heartbeat of the day. What sets my work apart is the process surrounding the ceremony. Through my signature Royal Treatment Experience, couples are supported from inquiry to “I Do.” I guide them through vision, storytelling, and preparation so that by the time they’re standing at the altar, they feel seen, centered, and celebrated.

I’m most proud of the trust my couples place in me. They come to me when they want more than a script—they want someone who understands the responsibility of holding their story. Someone who brings the warmth of a best friend, the leadership of a professional, and the emotional intelligence to make the moment feel safe and meaningful. When it’s done right, the ceremony becomes the moment everyone remembers. That’s the standard I hold myself to every time.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most people are surprised to learn that I was inducted into my high school Hall of Fame in 2020—for bowling. That same year, I also graduated with my Master’s in Health Administration… and then COVID hit, which still feels unreal.

Bowling was a huge part of my life. I competed all four years in high school, served as team captain, earned MVP, and learned early what it meant to lead, stay focused, and perform under pressure. It’s also my favorite “two truths and a lie” fun fact because almost no one expects it.

What people don’t realize is how much that experience shaped me as an entrepreneur. Bowling is a very you vs. the lane kind of sport. You can’t control distractions, conditions, or noise—you have to find your lane, stay consistent, and adjust without losing your focus. Business ownership has been the same. Finding your lane, trusting your form, and knocking down goals one frame at a time.

It’s a part of my story that doesn’t always show up on the surface—but it’s influenced how I lead, how I build, and how I stay grounded in my work.
