Community Highlights: Meet Anthony Gomez of RapidShips LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Gomez.

Hi Anthony, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi [Interviewer’s Name],
Thank you again for the opportunity to share my story—I appreciate you taking the time.
To give you some background, I’m the founder of RapidShips LLC, a logistics and warehousing company based in New Jersey. I didn’t come from a traditional business background or have access to capital when I started. In fact, I was at a point in my life where I had to completely pivot after an injury changed the direction I thought I was heading in.
Starting RapidShips was a grind from day one. I built the business from scratch—handling freight myself, working long hours, and learning every aspect of logistics through real-world experience. There was no blueprint, just a commitment to figuring it out and delivering for customers no matter what.
The turning point came during the COVID pandemic, when I was able to secure early opportunities in logistics that helped validate the business and build momentum. From there, we scaled steadily—growing from a small operation into a full 24/7 cross-docking and warehousing facility serving a wide range of clients.
What’s always set RapidShips apart is our willingness to take on challenges others won’t—last-minute jobs, complex rework, time-sensitive freight—and execute at a high level. We’ve built our reputation on reliability, speed, and being available when it matters most.
At its core, RapidShips represents hard work, discipline, and consistency. We didn’t raise capital or rely on connections—we built this through execution and by putting our customers first every time.
Looking forward to diving deeper into this during the interview and sharing more about where we’re headed next. I started the company at 21 years old and now I am 29 – we do over 2 million a year in revenue.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest struggles early on was starting with little to no capital. Every decision mattered—whether it was taking on a job, paying expenses, or reinvesting back into the business. Cash flow was always tight, and I had to learn quickly how to manage it, especially in an industry where margins can be thin and payments are often delayed.
Another challenge was wearing every hat in the business. In the beginning, I was doing everything myself—operations, customer service, sales, and problem-solving on the warehouse floor. That came with a lot of long days and constant pressure, but it also forced me to understand the business at a very deep level.
Scaling brought a different set of challenges. As we grew, I had to learn how to build a team, trust others, and create systems that could handle higher volume. Not every hire worked out, and not every process was efficient at first. There were definitely moments where growth felt overwhelming.
We’ve also dealt with difficult situations like customer payment issues, operational setbacks, and the unpredictability that comes with logistics—delays, last-minute changes, and high expectations from clients. You’re constantly solving problems in real time.
On top of that, there’s the mental side of entrepreneurship. There are highs and lows, and you have to stay disciplined and focused even when things aren’t going your way. A lot of it comes down to resilience and continuing to show up every day.
That said, every challenge has helped shape how I operate today. It’s made me more disciplined with cash flow, more intentional with hiring, and more focused on building a business that is both efficient and sustainable.
losing deals, partners stealing money from me etc

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about RapidShips LLC ?
Thank you for the opportunity to share more about RapidShips.
RapidShips LLC is a New Jersey-based logistics and warehousing company focused on helping businesses move, manage, and recover their inventory efficiently. We specialize in cross-docking, transloading, rework, and short- and long-term storage solutions for importers, freight forwarders, and e-commerce brands.
At our core, we operate as a problem-solving facility. Whether it’s a last-minute container that needs to be unloaded, freight that requires rework before delivery, or inventory that needs to be turned around quickly, our team is built to execute under pressure. A large part of our business is handling time-sensitive and complex situations that other facilities often can’t accommodate.
What sets RapidShips apart is our flexibility and responsiveness. We operate on a true 24/7 model, which allows us to support customers whenever the need arises—not just during standard business hours. In logistics, timing is everything, and being available when others aren’t has been a major differentiator for us.
We’re also known for being hands-on and solution-oriented. We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach—every client and every load is different, and we adapt accordingly. That mindset has helped us build strong, long-term relationships and a reputation for reliability.
From a brand perspective, what I’m most proud of is that RapidShips was built from the ground up through consistency, hard work, and execution. We’ve grown organically by delivering results and standing behind our word. Our brand represents trust, speed, and accountability—values that are critical in this industry.
Looking ahead, our focus is on continuing to scale while staying lean and efficient, expanding our service offerings, and strengthening our relationships both domestically and internationally. We’re also exploring opportunities in wholesale and global logistics to further support our clients’ supply chains.
What I want readers to know is simple: RapidShips is built to perform. We take pride in being the team that steps in when things need to get done—quickly, correctly, and without excuses.
I appreciate the opportunity to share our story and look forward to the interview.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Stay small keep all – most important thing is to not give up and be consistent – know when to pivot and know when to say no.
