Today we’d like to introduce you to Hollianne Davidson.
Hollianne, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been in the salon working since I was 16 years old, 17 licensed and behind the chair. So coming up on 23 years this year . It’s my passion and I love meeting new people and helping them with their self image . I owned my first salon at 25 , and some variation of Revolution has existed since then. From a 2500 sq foot salon with employees, to onsite travel bridal company, to small 1 woman suite . I think this is my favorite . an intimate fun place to hang out with my clients
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Covid changed everything for lots of people . I did take a temporary step back to be with my children for 2 years
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I don’t love the word “specialize” it makes it sound like I can’t do a normal roster of things . I like to say that my favorite things to do are corrective color, formal styling and pixie cuts. People find me a lot for short hair as it’s not something every stylist does let alone enjoys. Thats not to say I don’t enjoy a long balayage
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
the ability to listen before creating. It could be a great sound haircut but if it doesn’t match what the client wants then it’s null
