Conversations with Rosanna Abreu-Guzman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosanna Abreu-Guzman.

Hi Rosanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My husband, Bernardo, and I both come from underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds. Growing up, we had the drive, but we lacked the roadmap. We realized that for many kids like us, success felt like a matter of luck rather than a result of access. It wasn’t until college that we found the specific guidance that finally aligned our goals with our potential.

We founded Kora Kora Corp because we believe a successful future shouldn’t be determined by your zip code. We want to ensure that every talented heart has the leadership training, career readiness, and mentorship they need to compete at the highest level.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Has it been a smooth road? No, but the struggles have been my greatest teachers. Hurdles are inevitable, but we have the choice to learn from our mistakes. They are meant to educate us, connect us, and evolve our views. Personally, entrepreneurship has led me to cultivate a deep resilience within the maze of uncertainty, showing me that growth happens even when you don’t have the full map.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
With over 10 years of experience in Human Resources, a Master’s in HR Management, and a second Master’s currently underway in Strategic Communication and Media, my professional foundation is deep. Yet, alongside my career, I also lead a family bakery. It has been a journey of significant peaks and valleys; times when I had to follow my gut instinct without a full map of the terrain.

Through this, I’ve mastered patience, resilience, and the importance of boundaries. I’ve learned to rely on my intuition and creativity while staying humble, knowing there is always something to learn from others. But most importantly, I have learned that nothing is accomplished alone. Everything is possible when you have the unwavering support of your loved ones and your community.

Kora Kora Corp was once just a dream; today, it is a reality because of that collective strength. I’ve learned there is no “perfect’ time”, the universe aligns in your favor when your actions are rooted in an honest desire to help others from a place of love. Because we believe in the power of community and professional preparation, we have Open Enrollment for our September Achievers Studio available now on our website.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
While the definition is personal to every individual, for me, success is measured by our ability to deliver on our promises and generate a lasting, positive impact within our community. It is about fostering an environment under the Kora Kora umbrella where empathy, respect, and professionalism are the standards. True success is when every member of our team feels empowered to contribute to and execute our shared vision. It’s about the journey we take together and the trust we build along the way, knowing that our collective efforts will turn our mission into a reality.
