Inspiring Conversations with Christine Dolahan of Transpersonal Psychology and Coaching Center LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Dolahan.

Hi Christine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been anything but linear, and looking back, I’m grateful for every twist and turn because each experience contributed to the work I do today.

I was born in Switzerland and raised between cultures, eventually earning a Magister degree in Art History in Germany before moving to the United States. Throughout my life, I have been fascinated by what gives life meaning, how people grow through adversity, and the deeper dimensions of human consciousness.

Professionally, I spent years working in healthcare communications, medical education, research, and client services. Along the way, I also became a certified postpartum doula, birth educator, prenatal yoga therapist, and Reiki Master Teacher, and quantum healer. These experiences exposed me to the many ways people navigate transformation, whether through parenthood, illness, grief, spiritual awakening, or major life transitions.

My desire to better understand the human experience ultimately led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology. Through my doctoral studies, I explored the intersection of psychology, spirituality, consciousness, and personal transformation. More importantly, I discovered that my greatest passion lies in helping people reconnect with themselves and find meaning during periods of uncertainty and change.

Today, I am the founder of the Transpersonal Psychology & Coaching Center and work as a Holistic Psychological Consultant, Consciousness Educator, and Transformational Coach. Through one-on-one sessions, educational content, speaking engagements, and community offerings, I support individuals who are seeking greater self-awareness, healing, purpose, and alignment in their lives.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: transformation becomes possible when we learn to meet ourselves with curiosity, compassion, and courage. My work is about creating a space where people can explore who they truly are, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and move forward with greater authenticity and intention.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Like many entrepreneurs and professionals who choose a less conventional path, my journey has included its share of challenges, detours, and moments of uncertainty.

One of the biggest struggles was learning to trust myself when my path didn’t fit neatly into traditional expectations. I moved across countries, changed careers, pursued advanced education later in life, and followed interests that bridged seemingly different worlds—healthcare, academics, psychology, spirituality, education, and personal transformation. There were times when I questioned whether all of these experiences would ever come together into a coherent purpose.

Building a business has also required tremendous perseverance. Like many small business owners, I’ve experienced periods of financial uncertainty, self-doubt, and the challenge of balancing professional ambitions with family life and motherhood. Becoming a mother transformed me in profound ways, but it also required me to redefine success, reassess my priorities, and learn how to build a life and career that honored both my professional calling and my personal values.

Pursuing a Ph.D. while raising a family and navigating life’s inevitable challenges was another significant undertaking. There were many moments that required discipline, resilience, and a willingness to keep moving forward even when the outcome wasn’t clear.

At the same time, I wouldn’t change any of those struggles. They taught me empathy, humility, and the importance of trusting the unfolding process of life. Today, those experiences allow me to connect more authentically with the people I serve because I understand firsthand that growth and transformation are rarely linear. Often, our greatest challenges become the very experiences that prepare us to help others.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the founder of the Transpersonal Psychology & Coaching Center, where I serve as a Holistic Psychological Consultant, Consciousness Educator, and Transformational Coach. My work is centered on helping individuals navigate life’s transitions, deepen self-awareness, and reconnect with a greater sense of meaning, purpose, and authenticity.

What makes my approach unique is the integration of evidence-based psychological principles with a transpersonal perspective that recognizes the importance of the mind, body, heart, and spirit. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction or goal achievement, I help clients explore the deeper questions that often arise during periods of change, uncertainty, grief, awakening, burnout, identity shifts, relationship challenges, or personal transformation.

I work with people from many different backgrounds, but I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who feel called toward personal growth, conscious living, and a deeper understanding of themselves. My background as a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology, combined with my experience in healthcare, birth psychology, postpartum support, energy work, and transformational coaching, allows me to bring a multidimensional perspective to the work.

What sets my practice apart is the emphasis on creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where people can explore both practical challenges and deeper existential questions. I believe that meaningful transformation occurs when individuals are given the opportunity to reconnect with their inner wisdom rather than relying solely on external answers.

Brand-wise, I am most proud of building a practice that encourages authenticity over perfection. In a world that often pressures people to perform, achieve, and constantly strive for more, my work invites individuals to slow down, listen inwardly, and cultivate a more conscious relationship with themselves and their lives.

At its core, my mission is simple: to help people remember who they are beneath the conditioning, expectations, and challenges of everyday life. Whether through one-on-one sessions, educational offerings, speaking engagements, community events, or online content, my goal is to create spaces where transformation, healing, and self-discovery can naturally unfold.

If there is one thing I would like readers to know, it is that growth does not require becoming someone else—it often begins by coming home to who you have been all along.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
No meaningful journey is accomplished alone, and I am deeply grateful for the many people who have supported me along the way.

First and foremost, I credit my family, especially my husband and children. They have been my greatest teachers in many ways. Motherhood, in particular, has profoundly shaped both who I am as a person and how I show up in my work. It has taught me about resilience, presence, compassion, and the importance of living in alignment with one’s values.

I am also grateful to the mentors, professors, and colleagues who supported my academic and professional development throughout the years. My journey has taken me through healthcare communications, medical education, research, psychology, and consciousness studies, and I have been fortunate to learn from remarkable individuals in each of those fields. Their guidance challenged me to think more deeply, expand my perspective, and continue growing both personally and professionally.

I would also be remiss not to acknowledge my clients. While people often assume that the coach, educator, or practitioner is the one doing the teaching, I have learned just as much from those I have had the privilege to support. Witnessing their courage, vulnerability, and commitment to growth has continually inspired me and reinforced my belief in the human capacity for transformation.

Finally, I am grateful for the many communities, teachers, and wisdom traditions that have influenced my work over the years. They have helped me develop an approach that honors both scientific understanding and the deeper dimensions of the human experience.

If there is one lesson I have learned, it is that success is rarely an individual achievement. It is often the result of countless acts of encouragement, support, guidance, and belief from people who see something in us before we fully see it in ourselves. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had those people in my life.
