Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivette.
Ivette, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up, my mom always told me, “Whatever you do, make sure you always give back to your community.” That always stuck with me.
Then I was talking to my mentor about my future, and I told her, “One day I want to own a business.” She looked at me and said, “Why someday? Why not now?” I laughed and told her I didn’t even know what kind of business I wanted to start.
Joking around, I said, “Well… I make pretty great flyers for my son’s birthday parties.” I started laughing because I didn’t think she’d take me seriously. Instead, she looked at me and said, “Then why don’t you get into graphic design? You already love doing it. Give it a shot. While you’re at it, you can offer printing too. There’s always a demand for banners and marketing materials.”
I took a mental note, but I didn’t act on it right away.
A few days later, I was talking with my mom again about my future. Without knowing what my mentor had said, she told me, “Why don’t you start a business where you can help people advertise? You could even help your sister grow her grocery store?” My sister owns an Ecuadorian grocery store, so hearing my mom say that immediately brought me back to what my mentor had told me.
That’s when it clicked.
I had been praying to God to give me direction and show me what I was meant to do. Those two conversations felt like my answer. It wasn’t just one person giving me an idea. It was two of the people I trusted most pointing me toward the exact same path.
That’s how my printing, design, and marketing company was born.
Today, what I love most isn’t just designing logos or printing banners. It’s watching someone go from having just an idea to having a brand they’re genuinely proud of. Seeing their excitement when they pick up their first business cards, put up their first banner, or launch their business reminds me why I started. My business isn’t just about printing. It’s about helping other people build their dreams, and I get to be a small part of that journey every single day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Like anything in life, I had to learn how to walk before I could run. That was frustrating because I wanted to know everything from day one. I wanted everything to be perfect, but owning a business doesn’t work that way.
I remember one day I was so frustrated because my printer wasn’t working properly. Right in the middle of that, I got one of those random marketing emails I had accidentally signed up for. The subject line said, “Have you failed at something today?”
I opened it immediately because I honestly felt like I was failing.
At the bottom it said, “If you haven’t failed today, then you’ve learned nothing today.”
That one sentence changed my mindset. I realized I wasn’t failing, I was learning. Since then, I’ve stopped being so hard on myself and started embracing the journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of Euphoria Print Works. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
One thing most people don’t know about my business is that I pray over every single order. Honestly, I don’t talk about that enough. Before I start any project, I pray that every client who comes across my business not only gets what they’re looking for, but also receives everything God has in store for them and their business. That’s the whole reason I started this company. I genuinely want to help people grow.
I specialize in graphic design, printing, advertising, and sales strategy. From business cards and flyers to banners and other marketing materials, my goal is to help small businesses look professional and stand out.
What sets me apart is that I truly don’t do this just for the money. If that were my goal, I’d charge a whole lot more because I know what I bring to the table. I do it because I love serving my community, especially my mamapreneurs. The moms who are building businesses while raising families are some of the strongest, most determined people I know. Nothing makes you hustle harder than knowing your children are watching.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Sometimes, if I know someone is genuinely struggling to get their business off the ground, I’ll even work with them for free. For me, success isn’t measured by how many orders I complete but by how many dreams I get to be a small part of.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Honestly, I’m a pretty open book. What you see is what you get. But if I had to pick one thing people might not realize, it’s how much I actually juggle behind the scenes.
Running a business while working a full time job is challenging enough. Now add two kids and my wonderful husband, who I make sure I spend quality time with too. It’s definitely not for the weak.
Picture this: I’m in the middle of a rush order, trying to finish 50 company shirts before a deadline. My phone starts ringing, and it’s my boss saying, “I need you to find a Director of HR for a nonprofit… ASAP.” Before I can even process that, the school calls to tell me one of my kids is sick and needs to be picked up. So I pack everything up, switch from business owner to recruiter to mom in a matter of minutes. Then my husband gets home after a long day of his own and needs to vent or discuss ideas, and in that moment I have to set everything else aside and just be his wife. Somewhere in between all of that, I’m answering client messages, checking on orders, making sure deadlines are met, and still trying to remember if everyone finished their dinner.
And, no matter how busy life gets, I still make it a priority to call my family, check in on the people I love, and be present for the people who depend on me. It’s a lot to balance, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. At the end of the day, everything I do is for my family and to show my kids that with faith, hard work, and perseverance, anything is possible.
