Today we’d like to introduce you to Yasmine Ashour.
Hi Yasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My husband, Khaled Sehwail, and I have always loved celebrating milestones with the closest people around us. Between weddings, birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, and countless other special occasions, we spend a lot of our free time surrounded by family, friends, and members of our community. Outside of our business, we both have careers that also keep us connected to others. I work in Supply Chain at a local hospital and Khaled works as a New Jersey State Trooper.
When we began looking for an additional source of income, we knew we wanted to build something we genuinely cared about rather than simply starting a side business. As we reflected on the many events we attend each year, we realized that although everyone takes hundreds of photos, many of those memories end up forgotten in their camera roll. We wanted a business where people could have something to take home to remember their best moments at these events. We noticed there wasn’t an aesthetically pleasing photobooth business in the area that we were aware of that was also personable and could fit any event.
That idea led to the creation of K&Y Moments Booth.
We spent a large amount of time researching different photo booth options, determined to find something that stood apart from the traditional booths we had seen at other events. We found a beautiful wooden mirror booth that was exactly what we were looking for. It’s the perfect booth to fit in any setting.
Our main focus in every event isn’t the equipment, though. We value the connection that we make with all of our clients more than anything. Our goal is for clients to remember more than just beautiful pictures. We want them to remember how seamless the planning process was, how beautiful their photos turned out to be, and the genuine care we put into every event. We worked to build a 3 step process to ensure that this is the case.
Since launching, we’ve continued to grow by participating in local events, building our social media presence, and connecting with venues throughout our community. As our business grew, so did the financial responsibilities. We reached out to Khaled’s brother, Ahmad, a high school math teacher, to assist us with budgeting and financials. Ahmad ended up joining our team and now calls himself the “&” in K&Y Moments.
As we continue to grow, we’re excited to build relationships with even more families, businesses, and event venues throughout New Jersey and beyond. We’re also looking forward to expanding our offerings with new photo booths and different take home items while doing everything we can to remain the best fit for our clients. We stand by our slogan and do everything we can to ensure we’re Capturing Your Best Moments.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Obstacles is an understatement. As much as we’d love to say that the road has been nothing but smooth, we’ve had some issues especially in the beginning of our business. There was one occasion where guests came up to our booth while we were at dinner and we came back to find the machine down before the bride and groom had the chance to take photos. We thankfully fixed everything very quickly that day. There was more than one time where a child almost fell and knocked into our booth with their drinks in hand. We’ve had to purchase an additional printer, call customer service once or twice, and run back to the car to grab something or another here and there. Overall, though, we’ve pushed through as much as we could to make sure that any difficulties we’ve had didn’t affect the events we were working at.

We are a New Jersey-based photo booth business that loves being part of life’s biggest celebrations. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, bridal or baby shower, graduation, corporate event, or any special occasion, our goal is to create an experience that’s fun, memorable, and brings people together.
We offer a modern open-air photo booth with digital sharing, instant prints, custom-designed 2×6 and 4×6 photo strips, black-and-white glam filters, GIFs, a variety of backdrops, fun props, and unique add-ons like custom photo keychains and guest books. Every event is different, so we love personalizing the experience to match each client’s vision and style.
What sets us apart is the experience we create and the level of care we put into every event. We believe a photo booth is more than just taking pictures. It’s about bringing people together and creating memories they’ll cherish long after the event ends. We don’t just drop off the photo booth; we’re there to make sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Every booking includes a booth attendant who helps guests, keeps the energy up, and ensures everyone has a great experience.
The thing we’re most proud of is the genuine connection we build with our clients. We know planning an event can feel overwhelming, so we’ve worked hard to make our booking process simple, stress-free, and enjoyable. Our goal is to deliver not only high-quality keepsakes but also an exceptional experience that leaves both our clients and their guests happy.
