Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Bridgemohan.
Hi Steven, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with Now Fitness began through two passions that have always been a major part of my life: fitness and entrepreneurship. Growing up, I was fascinated by working out and becoming a healthier, stronger version of myself. The gym became a place where I could walk in feeling one way and leave feeling better, both physically and mentally.
At the same time, I have always had an entrepreneurial mindset and looked for opportunities to build something meaningful. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I learned that the gym was for sale. Even though it was an uncertain time for many businesses, I recognized the opportunity and acted quickly.
The journey has not been easy. We made it through the challenges of the pandemic, but one of our greatest setbacks came when a severe flood brought approximately three feet of water into the gym. We had recently completed renovations, and much of that work was destroyed. We had to salvage what we could, purchase new equipment, and rebuild the facility. It was heartbreaking, but giving up was never an option.
Today, Now Fitness represents resilience, transformation, and community. Our mission is to help people improve their health, build confidence, and become stronger versions of themselves. We are continuing to create an environment where members feel supported, motivated, and connected—not only to the gym, but also to one another.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I purchased the gym during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many businesses were struggling and the fitness industry faced a great deal of uncertainty. Building membership, keeping the business moving forward, and staying positive during that period required patience, sacrifice, and a strong belief in the vision.
One of our biggest challenges came on September 1, 2021, when Hurricane Ida caused severe flooding throughout the area. Nearly three feet of water entered the gym and destroyed much of the work we had recently completed. Our equipment, flooring, and other parts of the facility were badly damaged. We had to salvage whatever we could, purchase new equipment, and rebuild the gym almost from the ground up.
It was one of the most heartbreaking moments of the journey because we had recently renovated the facility, and it felt like all of our hard work had been washed away overnight. However, giving up was never an option. We used the setback as motivation to rebuild stronger. Every challenge has taught me to remain adaptable, trust the process, and keep moving forward even when things do not go according to plan.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I consider myself an entrepreneur with experience across several industries. My educational and professional background is in technology, where I have built a career by solving problems, managing projects, and adapting to an industry that is constantly changing. That experience has played a major role in how I approach business, because it taught me to think strategically, stay organized, and always look for better ways to operate.
In addition to my work in technology, I am a certified personal trainer, real estate agent, real estate investor, rental property owner, and construction professional. Each of these roles has given me a different perspective on business and personal growth. Fitness has allowed me to help people improve their health and confidence, while real estate and construction have taught me about investing, property management, development, and creating long-term value.
What I am most proud of is my ability to work across different fields while continuing to learn and grow. I have never limited myself to one career path or one definition of success. I am always looking for opportunities to build, improve, and create something meaningful.
What sets me apart is that I bring a combination of technical knowledge, hands-on experience, fitness expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset to everything I do. Whether I am working on a technology project, training a client, renovating a property, managing a rental, or operating the gym, I am committed to solving problems, helping others, and turning ideas into real results.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice to anyone just starting out is simple: execute. Do not let a great idea sit in your mind for years without taking action. Create a plan, take the first step, and work toward turning that idea into reality.
Many people never pursue their goals because they are afraid of failing, disappointing themselves, or being judged by others. What I have learned is that failure is not something to fear. It is part of the process. Every setback teaches you something, builds resilience, and helps you grow.
One thing I wish I understood earlier is that you do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. You learn by doing. Your plan may change, mistakes will happen, and the journey may take longer than expected, but taking action will always move you further than waiting for the perfect moment.
If you never take the risk, you may remain in the same place and later regret not giving yourself the opportunity to see what was possible. Believe in your vision, block out unnecessary opinions, and execute.
