Today we’d like to introduce you to John Blanchard III.
Hi John , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story is really one of evolution.
I’m from Morristown, New Jersey, and I’ve always been a creative. Long before there were businesses, titles, or brands attached to my name, there was simply a need to create, communicate, and build. Over time, I realized those weren’t separate interests. They were different expressions of the same person.
Today, I’m an entrepreneur, author, artist, marketer, strategist, podcast host, and creative. I’m the founder of Be Seen Marketing, where I’ve had the opportunity to help businesses and individuals strengthen their brands, tell their stories, and grow their presence. I also founded All World Digital, a media platform built around entertainment, sports, local news, culture, and honest conversation, and F.A.M. Apparel, a clothing brand rooted in the idea to Focus, Affirm, and Manifest.
Writing has been another major part of my journey. I’ve written and published multiple books and continued expanding into screenwriting and storytelling. Music has always been part of that creative DNA as well. As Johnny Espizito, I’ve released projects and continued developing as a songwriter, producer, and artist.
The interesting part is that I never viewed any of these things as me trying to wear a bunch of different hats. I’ve always viewed them as extensions of the same mission: create something meaningful, make people feel something, and leave things better than I found them.
That philosophy has also become increasingly important in my own community. Morristown made me, so being able to use my platforms, resources, relationships, and voice to advocate for people and contribute to the place that raised me means a great deal to me.
None of this happened overnight. There have been failures, difficult seasons, pivots, moments of uncertainty, and plenty of times when the vision was much bigger than the resources available to execute it. I learned how to build anyway. I learned how to be patient with the process while remaining relentless about the goal.
That’s probably the biggest lesson in my story so far: you don’t always have to know exactly how you’re going to get there.
Sometimes you receive the vision before you become the person capable of carrying it.
Then you grow into it.
That’s what I’ve been doing—growing into the vision, one project, one relationship, one lesson, and one intentional move at a time.
And I still feel like I’m just getting started.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
One of the biggest challenges has been navigating gatekeeping and an old regime that, at times, seemed more interested in protecting access than creating opportunities for new people and new ideas.
When I started Be Seen Marketing, I started from scratch. There was no existing client list. No startup money. No trust fund. No wealthy family financing the vision. I had an idea, a skill set, a work ethic, and the belief that if I consistently produced good work, eventually the work would speak for itself.
So, in the beginning, I did projects for free.
Not because my work had no value, but because I understood that before people trusted the business, I had to give them a reason to trust the person behind it. Every project became an opportunity to build a relationship, sharpen my craft, and establish my reputation.
One client became another. One project became a referral. The portfolio grew. The client list grew. Most importantly, the trust grew.
There were plenty of moments when it would have been easier to become frustrated by who wouldn’t open a door for me. Eventually, I stopped worrying about the doors altogether and focused on building my own.
Today, Be Seen Marketing has grown from an idea with zero clients and zero financial backing into one of the most respected marketing firms in Morristown and the surrounding area.
That journey taught me something I carry into everything I do now: access can be denied, but work ethic can’t be gatekept.
If they won’t give you a seat at the table, build something valuable enough that eventually they have to come sit at yours.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Be Seen Marketing was built on a simple idea: great businesses shouldn’t remain invisible because they don’t have a massive marketing budget.
We specialize in social media management, organic growth, content creation and editing, graphic design, branding, advertising, and overall digital strategy. But if you asked me what we really do, I’d say exactly what the name says: we help people be seen.
Our clients range from small businesses and entrepreneurs to organizations and established brands. Some come to us needing an entire digital presence built. Others already have something great and simply need help getting more eyes on it.
What separates us is that we don’t believe in cookie-cutter marketing. I study our clients. I learn their audience, their voice, their goals, and what makes them different. The objective isn’t to make their brand look like a Be Seen Marketing brand. The objective is to make the strongest possible version of their brand.
I’m also extremely proud that we’ve remained accessible. I built this company from nothing, so I’ve never forgotten what it’s like to have a vision that’s bigger than your budget. Small businesses are often told they need thousands of dollars just to compete for attention. I wanted to create another option—professional work, real strategy, and measurable value without pricing the people we’re trying to help out of the room.
Since starting, we’ve completed hundreds of projects, created hundreds of logos and promotional designs, managed social media pages, developed campaigns, helped businesses grow organically, and built relationships that have turned clients into long-term partners.
But what I’m most proud of isn’t a number.
It’s our reputation.
Be Seen Marketing was built almost entirely through the work speaking for itself. People recommend us. Clients come back. Business owners trust us with something they’ve spent years building. In a service-based business, that trust means everything to me.
We don’t chase visibility just for the sake of being visible. We help good people doing good work make sure the right people know they exist.
That’s Be Seen Marketing.
Be Seen. Be Heard. Be Remembered.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk-taking has been at the center of almost everything I’ve built.
I didn’t have a safety net when I started. There wasn’t a 9-to-5 funding the dream in the background. No large pool of savings. No wealthy family waiting to catch me if things went wrong.
I burned the boats and bet on myself.
That meant figuring it out in real time. If I didn’t generate business, there wasn’t another paycheck coming Friday to make everything okay. That creates a different level of hunger, discipline, and accountability. You learn very quickly that believing in yourself sounds great until your livelihood depends on that belief.
But I also don’t view risk as recklessness. For me, risk is being willing to trust your preparation enough to move without guarantees.
That philosophy carries into my creative work, too. I push the envelope. Whether it’s self-development content, marketing strategy, music selection for a client’s campaign, or graphic design, I’m willing to go somewhere creatively that other people might not.
My graphic work has its own identity because I don’t create like anyone else. I’m not interested in following whatever everyone else is doing simply because it’s safe or currently popular. I study what’s happening, understand the rules, and then figure out where I can bend them.
That’s probably my relationship with risk in one sentence:
I’d rather take the risk of being unmistakably myself than play it safe by becoming a version of everybody else.
I’ve built my businesses and creative career without a safety net, and that experience taught me that sometimes the biggest risk isn’t betting on yourself.
It’s spending your life wondering what would’ve happened if you had.
