Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Leszczynski.
Hi Aaron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
So I started my business with in 2014 my first sign was for two of my friends that were finally getting married. The grooms sister asked me to “ paint a sign” for a little backyard surprise party. That night I googled “hand painted signs” and something clicked. I really loved all the styles and saw a whole world I wanted to learn about.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s hard to made a living in Jersey period. It’s hard also to make a living creatively. One you want to feed yourself and grow
Two you want to feed yourself and not die
And three you need to to make yourself marketable.
Signs are usually the last thing people think of ( but the first thing they see) so being a sign painter in a world of plastic and stickers and last minute decisions is some times challenging.
But when it comes down to it we all want to be seen and heard, and in the same space stand out. And handmade products is a time that those things are rare to come by I feel will always stand out. Human to human that the connection we are looking for. So when I see a well made hand painted sign I know that started with an open ear and that it’s a real representation of the store or whatever I’m walking into
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The point to point I want to be known for real and true custom craftsmanship. Sign painted and custom carpentry. I want whatever I make to look as good as it functions.
I want people to look at my work and realize this is a craft that can be taught and and is a journey of something that can never be mastered but is a book of ups and downs but is at all times human and beautiful in it’s prefects and imperfects
I love doing live edge table but I also lobe making simple beautiful everyday items
And signs I really do love making detailed signs and then a simple three color dro shadow sign for someone

Every shitty jobs and boss that yelled at me.
I have a work ethic that is non stop and I learned about paint from autobody work and I’ve leaned about wood working from being a carpenter for years and working with people. Love old guys with simple tricks ……K.I.S.S.
