Today we’d like to introduce you to Rohan Duggal.
Hi Rohan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Started working in a liquor store out of college coming out. I had it as my first job. I worked it almost 10 years before leaving. I learned every job there-finance, ops, h.r., and a little marketing. I was a COO when I craft after coming in with with a basic job. I ran my own liquor store for 13 years. Great opportunity. I did the same but towards end I was a buyer and ops primarily. Great experience for me. After I left to work in the on premise worked and I have a little in ops, but I was really a CMO and help establish the on premise locations. I have spent time while working in the on premise world, also helping brands establish and grow their presence in the NY market working with brands the past 4 years
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say theirs been hardship whether with revenue in my own store to managing a team in the on premise world. While working with consulting it took 4 months before anyone gave me an opportunity so that didn’t happen overnight. A lot of proving myself
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
On premise and off premise
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I like the network I’ve developed in NY. I don’t like how it’s so difficult that people expect everything being done for them due to feeling overwhelmed by the market
