Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Lee Cronin.
Hi Rachel Lee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey to creating Soul Center Holistic Health has been a beautiful evolution of both my personal and professional experiences. My background is in Psychology and Social Work, and I have always been deeply interested in understanding the mind-body connection. As a mother, wife, and working in clinical and helping professions, I saw firsthand how much stress, trauma, and emotional overwhelm can affect a person’s ability to heal and feel balanced.
At the same time, I have always been drawn to holistic practices that offered this deeper layer of support and connection. Sometimes we forget how practical these ancient practices can be to enhance our wellbeing. Over the years I dove into to the wisdom of applying these techniques and bridging Psychology with the Science of Yoga. I am a certified Yoga Teacher, Aromatherapist, Breathwork Facilitator, and Reiki Practitioner.
I began exploring ways to weave in mindfulness and energy healing into clinical and corporate settings and found how well it complements traditional approaches to wellness and healing.
That is where the vision for Soul Center Holistic Health began. I wanted to offer services that bridges the gap between traditional healthcare and holistic healing. My approach is rooted in being trauma-informed while incorporating practices that help people reconnect with themselves, manage stress, find greater balance, and feel empowered in their own healing journey.
Today, through Soul Center Holistic Health, I have trauma-informed practitioners that work with individuals, healthcare and wellness organizations, non-profits, and businesses to bring holistic wellness into a variety of environments. We offer services such as Yoga, Mindfulness, Meditation, Breathwork, Sound Healing, Aromatherapy, Reiki, and customized wellness experiences for groups and corporate settings.
What began as a passion for helping people heal has grown into a larger mission: to make holistic wellness more accessible and to remind people that healing does not have to be one-dimensional. There are many paths to feeling well, grounded, connected, and whole, and I feel incredibly grateful to be able to create experiences that support people along that journey.
My most recent endeavor…Meditation has always been an anchor for me, helping me find peace and stillness amidst the busyness of life. I recently began offering free guided meditations on Insight Timer for anyone who would like to pause, breathe, and simply experience a moment of peace and connection within.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It certainly has not always been a linear path for me. Raising two young children while navigating the challenges that come with family life, including supporting a child through mental health struggles, anxiety and ADHD, has deeply shaped who I am and the work I do today.
Those experiences have continued to guide me toward finding new techniques and holistic ways to support, heal, and empower others through this wild journey we call life. Having loved ones who have struggled with mental health in my extended family has also strengthened my belief that there are many paths toward finding greater peace and balance. Sometimes that may be through conventional approaches, sometimes through holistic or traditional practices, and often through a combination of both.
For me, the challenges along the way haven’t necessarily been detours. They have helped shape my purpose and continue to inspire me to learn and grow, which I continue to share what I discover with others.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in bringing holistic healing practices into spaces where people are often experiencing stress, overwhelm, and the demands of everyday life. My work includes trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, aromatherapy, and Reiki energy healing, and I create customized wellness experiences for individuals, healthcare organizations, wellness centers, and businesses.
What sets me apart is the integration of my background in Psychology and Social Work with my training in holistic healing. I believe deeply in bridging the gap between traditional healthcare and holistic wellness rather than viewing them as separate worlds. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and centered around meeting people where they are.
I am especially passionate about helping people find practical ways to reconnect with themselves, regulate stress, quiet the mind, and create more balance in their lives. Whether I am leading a yoga and mindfulness session for employees, teaching breath regulation to victims of domestic violence, offering Reiki to those struggling with substance abuse, or guiding a meditation to a client who has experienced vicarious trauma, my intention is always to create a safe space where people can pause, breathe, and reconnect.
I am most proud of being a mom to my two beautiful girls. I am a nurturer and artist at heart. I think this is why creating Soul Center Holistic Health has blended so easily for me as a heart-centered and empowering business. It comes from a loving space and is a reflection of what I believe wellness, joy, and peace can represent. What works for one person may not work for another, and I love being able to offer creative and different tools and approaches that allow people to discover what resonates with them.
Ultimately, I think what sets my work apart is the heart behind it. I am not simply teaching wellness practices. I am creating experiences that help people feel seen, supported, grounded, and empowered in their own journey.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about where we live is how versatile it is. We are about an hour from the city and an hour from the beach, so we have the best of both worlds. We are right in the heart of it all, with so many beautiful places and experiences just a short drive away.
Just 20 minutes from my home, you can find beautiful farmland, and right in my own backyard are trails where I can escape into the forest and explore nature. There is always something new to discover, yet we also have the ability to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
If there is anything I like least, it would probably be the traffic and busyness that can come with being so centrally located. But even that is balanced by how easy it is to find a quiet place, get outside, and reconnect with nature. I especially love that we get to experience all the seasons and I really appreciate having that balance right here at home.
