Meet Traci Morris of New Jersey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Traci Morris.

Hi Traci, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a small private Midwifery office. I started this to provide a low tech, high touch form of women’s health care.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No…I’m a mid level provider in a world of surgeons…no…it has not been easy. Additionally, I accept Medicaid for services and they pay so little that is ridiculous…a third generally of reasonable and customary billing charges. Difficult to remain solvent…

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a certified nurse Midwife raised as a child on a dairy farm in Georgia…I’ve been around birth all my life.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
That’s hard…few want to help a new nurse practitioner
