Today we’d like to introduce you to Teresa Tobey, Meghan Newman.
Hi Teresa Tobey, Meghan Newman , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Teresa and Meghan first met in 2022 as workout partners at the gym. We quickly became friends, and one of our favorite routines was working out together and grabbing coffee afterward. Since we both loved coffee, the idea of starting a mobile coffee business eventually came up. We thought it would be a great opportunity to build something together, have more flexibility, and turn something we already enjoyed into a business.
We officially started our LLC in April 2025 and spent the next few months getting everything in place. By September 2025, our mobile coffee cart was officially up and running. What started as two friends working out and grabbing coffee together turned into a business we’re excited to continue growing.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Learning to work with each other when we were friends first and now business partners. Another obstacle would be, starting out in a brand new business that we have both never done before and figuring out exactly how to navigate how to run a small business on top of our full time jobs.

One thing you should know about Sunrise Sips Coffee is that we are a mobile coffee cart that is owner operated where we can go to local businesses, private events, corporate offices, weddings and specialize a unique coffee experience. We create a coffee experience made for your event. From house-made seasonal flavors and handcrafted espresso drinks to personalized menus and thoughtful details, every setup is designed to feel special, welcoming and uniquely yours. We bring the café to you, with a little sunshine in every cup.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What we like the most about our city is how close we are to the Jersey Shore and the reason why we made Sunrise Sips our name. One thing we like least about our city is nothing, who doesn’t love the Jersey Shore?
