Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathy Taylor.
Hi Kathy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My first memory of seeing and communicating with a Spirit was at the age of four, when a boy named Frankie and his dog—both of whom had perished in a car accident—came to me in my home. At the time, I didn’t realize that not everyone could see Spirits, so I treated Frankie like a second brother, setting a place for him at the dinner table and even celebrating his birthday with cake and presents.
I also experienced many unusual things growing up. I would see vignettes of events play out in my mind’s eye before they unfolded in real life. I often knew the paths people would take and the timelines of events before they happened—and often before the people involved knew themselves. As I grew older, I came to understand that I had a gift and that I was meant to use it in service to others as a lightworker.
I am a fourth-generation medium and trained under Psychic Medium Lisa Williams through the Lisa Williams International School of Spiritual Development (LWISSD), where I became certified as a Psychic Medium. I work with clients internationally, and this year I am celebrating my tenth year of conducting readings professionally.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I am in an industry where I have had to build my reputation one client at a time, with no scientific basis for what I do other than the first law of thermodynamics, which tells us that “energy is neither created nor destroyed, only transformed.” However, I have never necessarily viewed that as an obstacle or a challenge, but rather as motivation to continue honing my skills and to be as accurate and evidential as possible in my readings.
In my ten years of reading professionally, I have conducted an estimated 6,000 readings, during which there have been countless moments of joy, hope, and peace. However, as you can imagine, there have also been many moments of heartbreak, pain, and sadness in the stories I have heard, the methods of passing that have been revealed, and the secrets that have been shared with me.
In many ways, I have become the ultimate keeper of secrets—witness to both the best and worst of human behavior. Unfortunately, carrying those stories with you can take a toll on your mental and emotional well-being over the years. However, I stay grounded in the belief that I am here to help, heal, and support as many people as I can before it is my turn to exit this earthly plane.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In addition to psychic medium readings, I have access to the Akashic Records and provide past-life readings. I also founded the Hello From Above Spiritual Academy, where my students can explore a growing library of more than 25 classes and workshops centered on spiritual development and metaphysical topics. I offer both online and in-person workshops, gallery readings—where I connect audience members with their loved ones in Spirit—as well as astrocartography. I am also trained as a Forensics Psychic Medium, where I have weighed in on cases involving murders and missing persons. I also have experience in Medical Intuitive readings, whereby I am able to pinpoint symptoms, possible causes of illness, as well as intuitive suggestions for recovery. My latest offering is an Intuitive Private Mentorship program where I am currently working with 21 people (I have room for more!) individually each month as they hone their own skills, intuition, businesses, and more.
I am also carving out a unique niche in Intuitive Real Estate, combining my professional experience in real estate with my intuitive abilities. I use my gifts to help clients gain insight into housing price points, provide home clearings, assess properties for Spirit activity, and offer intuitive overviews of the many details and decisions that come with buying or selling a home. In 2026, I am the proud recipient of the Rising Star Real Estate Agent award, which recognizes talented real estate agents based on feedback from clients and industry experts.
Overall, I am most known for my down-to-earth persona, my accuracy, the evidential “hits” during a reading, as well as the compassion and ethics delivered within every session I conduct. What I’m most proud of is the trust people place in me during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I’ve sat with thousands of people who are grieving, searching for answers, questioning their path, or simply needing to know that the people they love are still with them in some way.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Everything about being a solo female entrepreneur in an industry as intangible as communicating with loved ones in Spirit, as well as reading and predicting life-plan and life-path information, involves risk. As many people know, about 50% of small businesses fail within the first five years, with roughly 20% failing in the very first year.
I have managed to remain steady and successful over the past ten years because of my clients and family support. Without them, I am nothing. Without them, I would have no business. I am incredibly fortunate to have built a community of clients where word-of-mouth and referrals quickly became the highest form of flattery for Hello From Above.
I risked everything by putting my work, my abilities, and ultimately my reputation in the hands of the public—and they responded by trusting me, referring me, returning to me, and allowing me to build a career doing something that has no traditional roadmap for success. Ten years later, I don’t take a single one of those referrals, appointments, or relationships for granted. My clients took a chance on me, and in return, they gave me the opportunity to prove that this work could become not only my calling, but a sustainable and successful business of hope, connection and proof, that life after death does, in fact, exist.
In addition to all of that, I now understand that the biggest risk I could have taken personally was allowing the dead to teach me more about life than the living ever could.
