Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Cuoco.
Hi Steven, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that success is not about fitting into someone else’s definition of who you should be. It’s about having the courage to be authentic, staying adaptable, and turning obstacles into opportunities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like many entrepreneurs and public figures, I’ve faced moments where I questioned everything, including myself. There were times when opportunities didn’t materialize, partnerships fell apart, doors closed unexpectedly, and people underestimated what I was capable of. I’ve dealt with financial pressures, personal losses, criticism, rejection, and the emotional weight that comes with constantly building something from the ground up.
One of the biggest struggles was learning how to keep moving forward when there wasn’t immediate validation. People often see the interviews, the media appearances, and the accomplishments, but they don’t see the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, or the moments when you’re trying to figure out your next step while still showing up at your best.
I’ve also had to reinvent myself multiple times. That isn’t easy. It requires letting go of old versions of yourself, taking risks, and trusting your vision even when nobody else can see it yet.
Looking back, though, I wouldn’t change those experiences.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My career has been built around storytelling, media, branding, and creating meaningful conversations that inspire people to think bigger about what’s possible in their own lives. As the founder of United Angels Dream, I’ve worked extensively in public relations, media development, broadcasting, brand strategy, and talent management, helping individuals and companies strengthen their visibility and impact. Throughout my journey, I’ve also built a platform through radio, podcasting, journalism, and interviews with influential leaders, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.
One of the most exciting recent developments in my career has been my return to the film industry. While many people know me for my work in media and communications, acting allows me to connect with audiences through a completely different form of storytelling. I was honored to join the cast of the feature film Between Places, directed by Amir Jaffer. This project represents an important evolution in my career because it allows me to combine my passion for authentic human connection with the creative power of film.
What makes this role especially meaningful is that it reflects my willingness to continue growing, taking risks, and embracing new opportunities. I’ve never wanted to be defined by a single title or profession. Whether I’m hosting interviews, building brands, writing, mentoring, or acting, my mission remains the same: to tell stories that inspire, create connection, and remind people that transformation is always possible.
At the core of everything I do is a commitment to authenticity. I believe the most powerful stories are the ones that come from real experiences, and I’m grateful that my work, including my role in film, allows me to share that message with audiences around the world.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve never looked at risk as something to fear. For me, the bigger risk has always been staying where I am when I know I’m capable of more.
I’ve taken a lot of major risks throughout my life and career. I’ve stepped away from situations that were comfortable but no longer aligned with who I was becoming. I’ve invested time, money, and energy into projects without any guarantee of success. I’ve put myself in the public eye, knowing that criticism comes with visibility. I’ve also reinvented myself multiple times, which is one of the biggest risks a person can take because you’re walking away from what people know you for and stepping into the unknown.
The truth is, none of those decisions felt fearless in the moment. There were doubts, uncertainty, and moments where I questioned whether I was making the right move. But I’ve learned that growth rarely happens when everything feels safe.
What I’ve come to understand is that risk isn’t about being reckless. It’s about betting on yourself when there are no guarantees. It’s about trusting your instincts enough to move forward even when the path isn’t clear. Some risks have paid off, and some haven’t. But even the ones that didn’t work out taught me lessons that became valuable later.
Looking back, every meaningful chapter of my life started with a decision that scared me. If I had waited until I felt completely ready, I would have missed some of the most transformative opportunities of my life. That’s why I believe calculated risk is essential. You can recover from failure. It’s much harder to recover from regret.
At this stage of my life, I don’t measure risk by what I could lose. I measure it by what I might miss if I never take the chance. That’s a perspective that has changed everything for me.
