Najma’s journey didn’t begin in the wellness industry. With a bachelor’s degree in computer applications, a Diploma in Software Engineering, and extensive training in business leadership and development, her early path was shaped by structure, systems, and problem-solving.
But life had a different calling for her.
A Defining Personal Experience
Najma’s life took a profound turn when her mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She spent invaluable time by her side—witnessing not only her mother’s strength, but also the emotional and physical challenges faced by patients and their families.
Her mother was diagnosed at the age of 48 and passed away at 49.
During those moments in hospitals and care settings, Najma saw something that stayed with her forever:
There was a lack of supportive, compassionate environments focused on comfort, dignity, and holistic healing—both for patients and caregivers.
“I didn’t just see my mother’s journey,” Najma reflects. “I saw the struggles of so many families around us—physically, emotionally, and mentally. That experience changed me completely.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.

What we are building with LANA is a completely new concept, and one of the biggest challenges was educating the community. When we started, many people—including patients, caregivers, and even healthcare providers—were not fully aware of how supportive, integrative wellness therapies can play a role alongside medical treatments.

I spent a significant amount of time meeting with doctors and professionals to explain that what we offer is complementary, not contradictory. Our goal is to support patients—helping them manage side effects, improve comfort, and enhance overall well-being during their treatment journey.

There was also confusion around results and expectations—how these therapies help, what outcomes to expect, and how they fit into the recovery process. To build trust, we treated the first 2–3 years as a learning and case-study phase, carefully understanding patient responses, experiences, and outcomes.

On a personal level, it required immense dedication.
There were times I worked 16 hours a day, often missing time with my family and children. It wasn’t easy—but I believed deeply in the mission.

Today, that hard work has helped us create a real, proven experience, which we are now able to translate into a scalable franchise model—so this impact can reach more communities around the world.

Looking back, every challenge reinforced one thing:
When you are building something meaningful, the journey may be difficult—but it’s always worth it.

On a personal level, my happiness also comes from my family. Their support has been my strength throughout this journey. Knowing that I’m building something meaningful while making them proud gives me a deep sense of purpose.
